Most contend that it was through blood transference (like a cut and butchering of a chimpanzee) of forced labor in Cameroon during the French colonial period. Either way, I highly doubt that bestiality among males in the continent of Africa is any more likely than bestiality among males in North America.

Sorry, my point there, was that it's not really hypocrisy as most Christians only follow the teachings of Christ in the NT. Another interesting point is that Exodus 22:18 states "Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live." Now reguardless of the many interpretations put forward (ie. witch=anyone non-christian), the point is that Fred Phelps and any other fundys have got some killing to do, lest they be labelled hypocrites themselves.

Leviticus (OT) also says not to eat pork. Its hilarious I think that the Jews follow only the Torah and yet they don't kick up half the stink of the Fundy Christians. The focus of Christianity is more the book of Christ or the New Testament not the Old Testament. Where - now im a bit rusty - either Paul or Peter said pork was A OK as long as it was blessed. I was raised only on the new testament but read parts of the old for good measure. Now, im a fundamentalist Agnostic.

The Bible quotes Jesus saying "I have not come to condemn the world, but to redeem it". Homosexuality (and also abortion) was a part of society 2000 years ago but the Bible doesn't record Jesus mentioning either - his main criticism was of the 'religious' people - the priests and theologians - who ironically knew absolutely nothing about God.
