Tandayapa is a great spot to watch hummingbirds. There is a patio about 20x20 feet and literally hundreds of birds visit the feeders all day. They also have fruit feeders that attract lots of species of rainforest birds. You can hike the trails on the property, and there is a hide that attracts secretive understory birds. The lodge is homey and comfortable with a very nice staff. Tandayapa is located in a very birdy area about an hour outside of Quito.
