  • Many people can do pull ups easily, look at rock climbers, it's just down to practice and working your body the right way, if you think it's that hard you need to find a trainer to show you how to do it.

  • I do towel pullups quite regularly. Actually its all i do nowerdays. I dont bother doing regular anymore because towel acts like rings too except gives you the benefits of grip strength. So i also like to do towel front and back levers, i like to do towel upside down pullups also known as front lever rows :)

  • @MageAtYou You might actually be able to do what you claim. However, you don't need to have things at home to do that (I allways did my pushups on a tree branch at a park) and you can record with a friends cellphone if you have no camera too.

  • @gboyhitdaspot it seems safe to me unless you weigh like 300 lbs or more... but if you'd weigh that much, you wouldn't be able to do a pull up anyway, so it's not dangerous at all :D

  • Good to see someone who knows the value of chins/pulls in MA. This is one of the best compound exercises fighters can do. The strength translates to so many positions in ground work and striking and Wrestling/Judo. Lots of variations. I like weighted chins with palms turned in and standard wide grip pull ups.

  • The triangle pull-ups really hurt your shoulders. I still hadn't tried the punching bag ones ... I'll use a backpack filled with rocks or something.

  • Some great variations to try out. A variation on the triangle chin ups is to use the same general motion, but drawing a circle with your chest instead of a triangle.

  • Top notch great variety of pullups!

  • I like doing the triangle (also known as side to side) reclined/inverted rows with gymnastic rings, blast straps, rope etc.

    You had a couple on there I never thought of in 23+ years of lifting. I'm going to try them.
