then id like to ask a question. What kind of pick are you using? cuz when i play i get this really loud sound from my pick hitting the strings. with yours it seems like its not nearly as loud as it is on mine. maybe i just suck at playing.. i am new.. so yay!

Leesha, I live in that same small town in the midwest ohio and relate so much to Mellancamps music. When I was a senior in high school in 1982 he came out with Jack and Diane and it was by far the best sound in rock music at that time. I'll never forget it, what a great time. Nice job with the cover. I will always love this kind of music.

Fantastic, strong voice and I agree with all the previous positive comments. I have been playing this song a lot lately; may I suggest using the G,C9 and D2 chords. Your hand stays in the same postion; and uh, maybe slow it down a bit. Thanks for posting; great vid!
