  • Found the link but the doc is no longer playing...:(

  • The answering machine at 0:17 reminds me of Hal from 2001 for some reason....

Great documentary by the way :)

  • This documentary is so very interesting and inspiring for me and my drawing.

John Callahan was such a good cartoonist.

    God bless him.

  • I can't find this documentary anywhere, and I don't think it's on the hollanddoc site anymore. Anyone know where it can be found? Maybe it can be reposted?

  • @shounenbat510, on the hollandoc site is a search engine. Type john callahan.

The second result: "raak me waar ik voelen kan" is the one you're looking for.

  • @bloemetjen Thanks a lot!

  • It’s a terrible tragedy that John Callahan has passed away. You can help remember him by contributing to his memorial website at johncallahan*people2remember*com

  • He was one of the funniest guys around! Hope your family's doing okay, Brian.

  • before he died he was offfered to do a cartooning event with matt groening(creator of simpsons) let him rest in peace tho

    -Brian, nephew of john callahan

  • thats my uncle ),: R.I.P uncle john

  • How can we see the rest of this documentary?

Or do the Dutch documentarians want to keep it in a dark cave, never again to be seen?

  • @richpee , The rest of the film can be seen on the site of hollanddoc type in john callahan and hollanddoc.

When I place a link in this comment space it doesn't work so...

  • RIP John Callahan

  • You can upload the rest of this documentary about the creator of Nicktoon series "Pelswick", John Callahan. It took 53 minutes and you make into 6 parts.

  • @recordstuff1989, I don't understand what you're talking about. Could you please explain what you mean?

  • I have no words to adequately describe the depth of my admiration for how John Callahan channels the force of life through his intelligence, his humanity. He is the patron saint of real life. Who cares that G.W.B. believes in A god?! WHAT god, is the question. I believe that J.C. believes in himself, which is what one should ultimately believe in anyway, and which is at the core of Christ's teachings, if one cares to look that fearlessly into the mirror, like J.C. does.

  • I've read 1 of his books; it touched me deeply. Mr. C. has developed his talent, more than some non-paralyzed people have done.

I'm sorry he had a problem with GWB. I wonder how he now feels about BO, a man who surrounds himself with communists & socialists. At the very least, GWB believed in a God, whereas BO is a believer in the muslim allah...though he's cowardly to not admit it. But don't get me started!

    God bless Mr. Callahan.

  • where is part 2 ?

  • I had the whole docu on youtube, but the maker, procucer of this docu asked me to take it off youtube or otherwise....

  • i understand.

    thanks for replying

  • This is a good documentary on a facinating man. I wonder how John Callahan is doing now? In recent pictures of him he looks very unwell.

  • Indeed a fascinating man. Great humor, great song writer and voice. There's a biography out now. I don't now about his recent status...

  • I read his memoir "Don't Worry, He Won't Get Far On Foot" and another book by him "Will the Real John Callahan Please Stand Up?" Has someone done a new biography of him? If so, I'd love to read it.

  • It's a book from 2006 published in Dutch named "cartoons met een gebrek" something like cartoons with a failure...

    Publisher Xtra; ISBN-13: 978-90-7776-660-6

Maybe it's a translation from one of his earlier bio's.
