All of these happened right before school started, like a week before. Every one of those years I walked up to school crying. @flame471 People disliking videos on youtoube doesn't mean they arent sympathetic to your pain! it just means they didn't think think the video itself was well done, or didn't think the song lived up to their expectations. You shouldn't take it personally when people dislike a video. (Oh, and I'm not one of those people, I happen to love Skillet, and this song- i just wanted to make a point)

This song reminds me so greatly of my dear grandmother. She passed a long while ago and I didnt even know for a year. Now everytime I think of her I break into tears. N to tell the truth hearing this rite now makes me cry. The last time i spoke to her we fought then I learned many years later that she was gone. The women who taught me alot of things, is gone. I always thought that if I was wit her da day she died... I would hold her n tell her how much I love her. I miss you grammy, n I love u..

this song makes me think of my exs gf, she past away so tragicly some years ago, at a private party an older man walks in, we dont notice him, till he steals some beer, then we tryed to get him out, i ended up with a broken shoulder and some stab wounds, when some other guys found her ducttaped to the radiator, i was to late, i was sitting there holding her in my arm, i knew i would die if the paramedics didnt take me to the hospital, i miss u so much honey, rest in piece my love

One my friend killed herself this week, it's changed me and other my friends. Today my other friend tried to kill herself..... When i got message from her i been in school and started cry at lesson, cause I felled in love with her.... When I heard this song I started to cry again..... You are both right and wrong. Cooper said in an interview that this song can be applied to many situations. In another interview he said he dealt with a lot of loss in his life when his mother died at 14 and his best friend in that same year. There was an interview where he mentioned abortion too. So really, yeah, you can say this song is about anything that as to deal with loss, not just abortion.

Last year my uncle died right before school started. Two years before, my Great Grandpa, and two years before, one of my best friends mom. All of these happened right before school started, like a week before. Every one of those years I walked up to school crying. Luckily, I have good friends who have never let me down emotionally, spiritually, or in any other way, and for that I'm eternally grateful for them. Thank the Lord almighty for loved ones.
