  • Thank you Murray... hearing the instruction is very helpful... and an asset to the community. In addition the student has the legacy resource to draw upon.

  • Great little training area

  • Yep, these days only Dual Control Tandem student flights are permited.

This was filmed years ago back in the days before the Council restrictions were imposed...

The 'final straw' for the Council was a kid (his dad was selling power kites) ending up in a wheelchair for life... BHPA accidents featuring in the papers ment it took a year and a number of meeting to get LIMITED/RESTICTED clearence for a few named pilots that I have to garentee meet VERY high standards..

  • yes Murray is very thorough and insures that everything is explained and wont let you proceed untill he thinks you fully understand what he is asking you to do, all in the name of safety i guess...

  • Training involves a mix of 'patterning' where I physicaly move the trainee as required, to reinforce the good RE-actions to sensory inputs (both visual & esp. 'tensions') coming to the pilot from the wing and reduce the natural tendency to do the wrong thing... added to this is the science of WHY things happen!

  • Nice vid - shows the level of thought given and the teaching of safe habits from the very outset of training.
