  • one person missed the like button

  • Please tell me where these guys are jumping. I would like to make one with them the next time they jump this C-47. The plane looks a lot like the one that I saw several years ago flying out of SC through Kentucky and landing at Somerset KY.

I know that 71 year olds are not supposed to be jumping anymore but this plane and these guys would make doing ONE MORE just great.

  • @thegreek14, I do not know how you made a rational conclusion to say my statement required death or mayhem from jumping with a T-7, so I will be more discreet when using hyperboles and cliches as not to offend the overly sensitve , the politically correct, and the bete noire.

  • Ahh that is sad how somebody really elderly and was a WW2 vet missed the like button... curse the factor of age...

  • Sweet. Brings back the memories from Bragg in 68. Thanks for posting.

  • Airborne! I wish I could jump with you guys. It was the exploits of the 101, 82nd, 17th and 11th that I decided to join up. Best decision I ever made.

  • Out the door. As a stick leader. I had to jump.

    Fuck You legs.

  • Who cares about the parachute they're using, it's AWESOME !!

  • @oOCrossroadsOo I meant it to be sarcasm because a T-7 prop blast is like running into a wall. I jumped with T-10s and MC-1s, and the opening shock is nothing compared to a T-7.

  • HOW IS IT PHYSICALLY POSSIBLE OT DISLIKE THIS STUFF?!?!?!

  • If they going to re-enact a WWII jump using uniforms and aircraft, why aren't they using T-7 parachutes?

  • @TheHoomaikai thats like saying why didnt the guy really die during the re-enact ment.... safety first man...

  • If they going to re-enact a WWII jump using uniforms and aircraft, why aren't they using T-7 parachutes?

  • If they going to re-enact a WWII jump using uniforms and aircraft, why aren't they using T-7 parachutes?

  • how mutch it coust to do this? im 16 and i like to do this

  • & ARMS"?

  • wish i was there lol

  • Need some faux (de-milled 88's?) AA guns on the ground going off to complete the illusion :-)

  • theres a reenactment group up in pennsylvania the 508pir ido believe thats does this google there name

  • i would love to do that but theres a problem

  • Cause theres nothin' quite like exiting a C-47, Wearing the uniforms of the greatest generation, firing an M1, and walking the hallowed grounds of mankind's greatest and most violent struggle.

  • first of all i live in new zealand so yeah lol. also i wanna feel like a soldier in ww2 :D im joining the army when im old enough though

  • if i win the jackpot, i buy one jump for me!!

    (sorry for my english)

  • man thats awesome!!! im only 13 but im a massive fan of the WW2 US Airborne. I'm hoping to be a reenactor someday, I don't know if they do jumps regularly though, I hope so!

Great little vid, looks fun and nice exits by the troopers too.

    5/5

  • good lookin exits!! I still don't know if I'd be willing to jump with the older equip though..It would be fun to exit a C-47 though!!!

  • It looks as though they are using modern parachutes.

  • @FalconKPD The re-enactors are not using T-7 parachutes which were used during WWII. The T-7 didn't have a pilot chute like their reserve chute to initially pull the main canopy. It looks like the parachutes are steerable, and the first steerable parachute paratroops used was the MC-1.

  • after they do this do they start reeanacting like real airborne operations or is it all just about the jump?

  • This is the World War Two Airborne Demonstration Team out of Frederick Army Airfield, Oklahoma. I am on that team as a jumper.

  • Sweet. Where do they do this? Wonder where they land. lol

  • Awesome can't wait till my next jump!

  • How could you think that is from a video game?!?

  • HOLY CRAP

    Where do they do this!

    that's awesome!

  • that looks like fun.

  • we in holland have those to specaliy on the 17th of september

  • Awesome! I would do anything to jump with these guys, statics from a C47! F*ckn 5/5!

  • That is so cool. Go Airborne!

  • wow that is cool !!!

  • yeah i was in the paratroopers^^

  • OK. I didn't catch the unpardonable sin.

  • Hey whiskeymedic. I'd like to invite you to come down and jump with us. whaddaya say?

  • u shudnt brag around ure special forces achievements everyhere mate. its ment to be a secret. lol

  • Been a long while since I put my knees in the breeze...but I sure would like to do it again. I wish you guys were closer to the east coast.

  • hoooah!

    Airborne leads the way!

  • Hey Whiskey, relax. At least they admit thay they're re-enactors. Half of the people on the web that say they won the C.M.H. with Oak Leaf Clusters are 14 years old.

At least the folks on the site for this video are polite.

    With All Due Respect.

    ALL THE WAY.

    (..and I'm 18Z Qualified).

  • Okay, sorry, do you want to call you BITCH, then? I must say it's tempting.

  • Sir is an insult but Sargeant is a better way. NOT Sarge, or it would be Corporal(sorry if its misspelled). I reenacted for awhile for my Great was in the 82nd. I did it to see what it was like but Ive desided to take it to the real stuff. Im joining Airborne.

    Hooah

  • Okay, good, but I'm reenacting and I'm NOT a wannabe.... Sir

  • You're just jealous!

  • This video was shot in 2005 at the 501st PIR reunion in Springfield MO. The jumpers are made up of current and prior military, as well as civilians. Team members come from all over the US and beyond to perform at events like this on our own dime, and don't expect compensation in return. You can find more information about the team at wwiiadt(dot)org

  • Yep, GAP is definitely massive. It's a great Bulge reenactment mainly due to the temps and snow that's always there! 82nd Aiborne 504th pir all the way baby!

  • whiskey...why so much dickage in your tude?

  • imo, this is the best video on youtube. it's absolutely perfect. hypnotic almost.

  • This is a demonstration jump at the 501st PIR reunion in Springfield, MO in 2005. Group is the WWII Airborne Demonstration Team. You can search for more video on YouTube or wwiiadt dot org for the website.

  • I think I recognize the second guy out of the plane.

  • I think I recognize the second guy out the door.

  • The third man out has a bit of a delay for his chute to open...I hope that won't happen to me this summer...

  • now...put in burning planes and tons of flak...u might just get close to the real thing

  • this was in the morning and at a low altitude, so it must have been operation Market-Garden. which had very few downed planes.

  • no u are kinda right but inaccurate! The jump on operation market garden was a high altitude jump! Thees conpiracy that it wa slow but in reality operation overlord was a low drop. just thought you would like to know!

  • hey I thought that looked familiar,,, damn that was fun.

    Nino in oregon

  • Hey Nino Small world isn't it.

    Sam (also in Oregon)

  • wwiiadt "dot" org

  • The opening shock is not that bad on this system.

I'm the first one out the door. This was last year during the 501st PIR reunion in Springfield MO. Check out our website

  • ASD

  • Oh my god! Airborne reenactors who are actually jump trained?! Spectacular!

  • Interesting,..I note the modification to the chutes. No D bags, You have a lines-first deployment using a pilot chute.

What kind of opening shock do you experience with this mod?

  • very little if any, they are steerable MC1-1 Charlies - some Bravos, if I remember correct.

  • Had a talk with Pappy up in Washington, He tells me there is a D bag but it is activated by the pilot chute.

  • Roy, is this our guys ?
