I have this same keyboard protector and it begins to get a bit of a foggy look when it starts to to accumulate dust and dirt. The best way to clean the the protector is with an alcohol pad on both sides. It works a lot better than a simple rinse under running water. Also, in my opinion, the Switcheasy Safekeys protector is a better quality but they do not sell one that is transparent that allows the backlit keyboard to be seen.
