  • great car, great price!

  • My car! It's perfect!

  • My mom's accent has only two doors on her hyundai accent. It's either a 2006 or 2007

  • I had several Hyundais and all suffered from oil burning issues which eventually led to engine needing replacement. Never experienced this issue with other makes.

  • the sad thing is , parts are not available.

  • That's my car, i love it. It's perfect!!

  • Design is so frugal.

    To minimalist, it works.

  • thats my new car

  • Probably buying this car as my first car soon! I'm going to get it in black with a rear fin so it looks sharper than it already does!

  • Man, I'm shocked about how far Hyundai's quality has come over the last few years. They have now made my short list when I have to go car shopping in a few more years.

  • A/C isn't standard? o__0

  • It is one of the best looking sub compacts out there. I will be proud to drive it.

  • If you are poor, a car for transportation is... well .... a car for transportation. Well this particular product achieves its purpose, those who want something more will be dissapointed.

  • @conman2317 lol u just sound like cartman at south park

  • James May favorite car Hyundai Accent 3 cylinder diesel

  • @firedragon689 There's no need to post something like that on here. You're on a public forum and using that kind of language only makes you look bad. Maybe you out to cancel your account until you learn to talk properly in public, like the rest of our parents did.

  • يا لبى الاكسنت

  • @JuventusAAR arabitch

  • it doesn't seem a bad car but i don't like the interior

  • هههههههههههه

  • Why am i watching this, a used civic can last 10 years longer.

  • @GPaulDiddy Hey man I am a huge fan of japenese cars but I must say that their reliablity is nowhere near what it used to be.Japense cars went downhill after y2k.

The accent is a much better value than a civic.

  • this is easily the worst car i ever driven! i cant wait till my car is out the shop so i can get rid of this pos rental . & the mpg sucks there is no way in hell i should be filling this thing up every 3-4 days so far i already spent $40 filled it up on sunday had to refill it again yesterday and the way things are going im going to have to fill it again on sunday .

  • hyundai is soo gay the people who own them are faggots ugly pieces of shit...):

  • @firedragon689 check out the 2011 models you dick monster

  • @hako2004 i can agree with u to the point yhat hyundai has come along way in last 10yrs since the hyundai x2 accent/excel was released, but i wouldnt go as far as saying that teyre a great car. theyre as exiting as a fridge, they appeal to people who view cars like an appliance, which is why sales are climbing. if i told u more people are eatind Mc donalds evey year, would you conclude that it is becuse theyre food is geting tastier/ healthier? no. many people eat it simply because its afordable

  • ae a u have there

  • i was rear ended yesterday by an suv while i was driving this car and let me tell you! The back bumper is filled wih styrafoam. The suv wasnt going but 20 and it complely smashed in the back of my car...i would definatly not call his piece a "solid little car"...i would call it an aluminuim foil vehicle.:)

  • girly and something asian immigrants drive, junk!

  • 1:22 as the accent approches, the front of the car looks like its expanding

    love the 3 door hatchback!

  • Working at the global company doesn't mean you have a global view. The cheap part time labor is difficult to watch things globally. The globalism is at the opposite side of Korea Mansei attitude, which is seen from yourself. If you are a global Korean, you are not insisting on Korea Mansei Story.

  • I'm Not leaving OXFORD and will SPILL BLOOD to Protect THAT!!!!

  • I have to be a DICk to Protect my own sobriaty!!!!!

  • Mr. Checks is not my FRIEND nor enemy! Just me being around him even for a moment will eventually = bags of SHITz!!

  • NO HANGIN AROUND A's BROTHER THAT IS PLAYING W/FIRE!!! I DON'T ASSOCIATE WITH DOPE ADDICTS WHO WANT TO SABOTAGE MY LIFE!!!!!

  • Just buy the H&R or B&G lowering springs for Accent 2006+ and you will see how the handling and riding performance inproves. Dont forget to install wheels not bigger than 16'', this car doesnt like something bigger. I love my Accent 2007, It was the best option I could take after visiting dealers, test driver cars and making some math about what I was getting for the price, Accent was the winner. Lancer was not bad, but wasnt the best, either, and Yaris was so stupidly Ovepriced for what it is.

  • We call it hyundai verna here

  • accident lol

  • Bad ass motor. We can shift that bitch at like 8 and wont hurt it. Man if i brought my S10 2.2 up that high (if it will rev that high) it would trow. Thats a well Built little motor. I take back what i said about these cars. BAD FUGEING ASS. Its pretty quick to. Its Great I can race it and still get 32mpg. LOL even tho i hate ricers now i know why they do it. Still wont by the Gennises tho. Its Ugly.....My opinion. But the accents well worth the money..

  • FYI, UK gave Hyundai the BRAND OF YEAR AWARD, a few weeks ago....And they stopped selling the passenger cars due to a marketing strategy, they keep the commercial vehicles line up in Japan, because it generates more revenue.

  • Hyundai accident is the cheap crap for poor men. If it is sold in some number in Britain, the economy of Britain is terribly bad now. By the way, there is no Hyundai nor Kia dealers in Japan. They gave up on our market because nobody buy such a crap.

  • Japanese market?, They have the WORLD MARKED, which is better, idiot. Dude, Japanese people dont even buy Lexus or Infinity when they want a Luxury car, THEY BUY EUROPEAN LUXURY CARS, BECAUSE THEY ARE REAL LUXURY CARS, not wannabes... according with your profile you are Japanese, you should know that. Read carefully, shitty hater, Hyundai is the 4th major car makers in the world, with sales going up, not like Toyotrash with serious recalls, sales loses and crappy quality.

    it hurts, eh? LMAO!!

  • Japanese market is the most advanced market. The users are mature. The business outside of Japan except Euro is basically the competition of making the cheap cars. Especially Korean companies don't have any brand value, it is the only tactics to sell them cheap. How do you say this Korean pride? Cheap Pride!

  • LOL!! "The users are mature"..WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT??!! So the rest of people around the world is unmature user, kids, babies buying and driving car? C'MON SON!, Get the fuck out of here with that bullshit!!! You really dont know what to say to win this one!...Dude, did you know that even Honda CEO in Japan said "yes, Hyundai is great now..."? Right!, HE SAID IT. Hyundai gets its number in America, Europe and other Asian countries, If Japan is full in haters, who gives a shit!

  • US make cars and they sell Hyundai, Germany, UK, France, and Italy makes cars and they sell Hyundai, too, so Japan make cars and they dont want to sell Hyundai?..are Japanese people or market affraid of something?. Other brands like Renault or Fiat will never sell as many car as Hyundai in a month, and they wont stop selling cars in a country because they have lower sales numbers. Proof new Hyundai models are bad quality as you say it. They are above Toyota in quality and reliability, NOW!.

  • That's not our decision. Koreans loudly announced us to take over Japanese Market 8 years ago. Then just a few months ago, Koreans declared giving up Japanese market for their poorest sales(only less than 1000 a year) in a very small voice. There is no meaning to make cars in Japan for Koreans. Korean labor is cheaper than that of Japanese and Korea is only a half day distance from Japan by a ferryboat. For us, Korean car is nothing but cheap inferior copy of Japanese cars. Nobody buys it.

  • That is your fucking perception, a perception made more than 10 years ago....Guess what?, if Hyundai will copy a brand, they will copy an European cars, not shitty overpriced japanese. And, if you think Hyundai is a copy of Japanese cars, AT LEAST THEY MAKE THEM WITH WAY BETTER QUALITY AND REALIABILITY NOW, WITH NO RECALLS RELATED WITH MAJOR CAR COMPONENTS, COMPROMISING THE CAR OCCUPANTS SAFETY!!.

Have a nice one, IGNORANT HATER!

    DISMISSED!!

  • I see, I see! But your problem is that Hyundai can't make their own cars without buying components from Japanese companies. The build quality of those components are the Japanese quality. That is the reason why Hyundai crap has moderately good reliability. However, it can't be better than Japanese cars. Cry for your lack of ability! Even you scream from your inferior complex and stupid nationalism, Hyundai workers won't agree to you.

  • LMAO!!!, Dude, just SHUT THE FUCK UP AND STOP MAKING UP BULLSHIT!. Now you say Korean cars has Japanese components, you really speak shit out of your mouth!! hahahahah! Read more, fucking ignorant, Korean make THEIR OWN COMPONENTS, FROM GLASSES TO ENGINE BLOCKS, and other things like some special gear boxes come from Europe!! FYI, it was Mitsubishi who asked Hyundai for help making the engine block for Evo X. Reard more and do your homework before saying some shit. Sayonara, sucker!, DISMISSED!

  • You can believe whatever you want. But Hyundai and other Korean companies buy hell a lot of components from Japan. They also buy the steel too. Korean POSCO can't supply quality steal enough. They count of Japanese steal too. I think Hyundai developed their 6-speed transmission very recently. They still buy many transmission too. They don't buy them from Europe for the Asian market and US market.

  • Does ZF Friedrichshafen rings you a bell?, Moron! Hyundai get their gearboxes from Europe and now they developed their own 6speed sport shift transmissions, which is very good. And if you say Korea makes bad steel, well, then explain me why Hyundai Heavy Industries is the worldwide major ships builder? Not Even Mitsubishi can match them, and Hyundai is not precisely using steel from Japan. I think you forgot how big is Hyundai, not just a car maker. YOU can believe whatever you want.

  • Making a lot of ship is not exactly the same as having the best quality. I think you don't know much about steal issue. Basically, automobile company gets the parts from the cheap supplier in total. Japanese companies use a lot of European suspension for Euro market, US components for US market. Hyundai use hell a lot of Japanese components. It is impossible to deny. Have you ever read Korean newspaper? POSCO can't supply enough material to Hyundai. Hyundai has to buy it from Japan.

  • This is not the matter of your favor, this is the reality. Why don't you ask Hyundai workers not the dealer guy? You will realize what it be. Korean companies are still the developing companies as same as your tiny end of peninsula.

  • I work for a global company, I know about business, very well. Let me tell you something, Your Country needs things from many other countries, things you dont produce, as well as many other countries do it, So I dont know whats your fucking point. If they cant supply the steel demand by now, that means they have a very high demand, they are in the business, PEOPLE IS BUYING THEIR PRODUCTS. You wont have great production if there is no consumtion. Just Shut The Fuck Up, Mr. Sushi Hyundai Hater.

  • There are two type of import of the material or component. One is the ordinary material, which can be produced by any places without brand new technology. For such materials, there is no reason to be Made in Japan. The other is the premium material, which is difficult to make in your own country at reasonable price. Japan imports cheaper things from others and ship premium materials. On the contrary, Korea imports premium materials from Japan. There is a huge difference between two.

  • ahahahhaha wtrdogg20 is sooo angry from car politics talk. your so gangsta man, say somethin like "yo, i grind global company yo, ill bust a hyundai cap on you son!" hahaha

  • wow, i bet u feel so cool with the way u wrote ur message "sayonara, sucker, DISMISSED" and geez man, get a life, stop sitting at home reading books about company car politics. lol! talk about nerdy *snort snort*

  • fucking shit! both of you are ignorant.

  • upon reading some of your comments, I agree most of you haven't been inside a huyndai accent, sure the chassis is a bit normal and boring but the beauty of this car is the engine its a 16 valve 1.5 diesel engine that has a small turbo displacement. I have to diagree with you anthonyUK but it can go to a 0-60 within 10 seconds and not 20 seconds, plus it has a 184 torque power, alot better than the new honda civic.

  • A flood damage my new hyundai accent although the engine start again but the power steering doesn't work and some other parts are damage also. the computer box was spared it was totally sealed.

  • What do you mean by " BOth ... AND ..." ? You mean I can buy them together?!

But I mean I want to buy a new Japanese car with $5000 more than the price of Accent, although Accent is cheaper

  • That's insane. You could buy both a new Accent AND a used Civic for $5k for the price of a new Civic. Beside, why would you want to drive a dustbuster?

  • ill taste your asshole young man

  • i agree...cant Fu$# with hyundai.....most bang for youre buck....quality rating of a porsche!

  • What a bunch of idiots talking out their asses. I have yet to read a bad review of this car, in it's present form, from any impartial car reviewer. Only reviewers with an axe to grind would say it's no good. They are very nice, solid little cars with great warranties.....which is why the sales numbers continue to climb. Half of these Hyundai haters have never even been inside a newer Accent.....that's obvious.

  • I love Hyundai Accent/Dodge Attitude!

  • Comment removed

  • the second model looked way better

  • For all those people saying idiotic things about Hyundai. I could buy any car I want and I chose a 2009 Hyundai Accent GS hatchback five speed. Image is so pase and I am speaking from experience having owned some pretty expensive vehicles. This little car actually brings me more joy than most of the other ones did. Don't judge people by the car they drive. You might want to ask to see their bank account balance before you open your mouth and insert your foot! Save the planet, buy an accent!

  • If you are used to driving a North American vehicle, do not buy any small import. It's gonna feel gutless obviously.

This is a true eco car tho til you turbo charge it. I've personally worked on a few of these and when turbo charged, they go.

  • well the guy said it best. buying a small car is a whole lot different than it was 10 years ago. Or should i say 9 because the 2000 Accent was the best looking Accent ever. Ever since it just kept looking worse.

  • I do sort of agree with you on the styling of the Accent. It looks funny. I have a brand spankin' new Accent hatch sittin' in my driveway. I originally wanted to get a Accent Sedan but, It just doesn't look sporty or handle good enough. I live in the mountains and I don't think that the sedans little tires can grip the road with the way I drive. I had my car for two days now and put 300 miles on it so far. I've been challenged to a drag race against a Corolla. I won.

  • is this car "THAT" bad?

  • I just test drove one. Horrible. Bottom line.

I know you have to factor in the price, but I would rather take the bus until I can afford a real car like the Corolla or civic or even the mazda 3.

  • that car is known as hyundai verna in India

  • accent was the first generation name..

from 2nd generation it was named the Verna

  • Man who doesn't know HYUNDAI SANSEI is equal to not knowing the world.

Of course, South Korea is NO.1 in GDP.

People in the world will hope for HYNDAI.

South Korea became the good in the world.

    Do you envy it?

  • nice car , i have one . the problem is that this car does not fit for the long high ways and trip

  • Nice one, We just got an 04 Accent GSI for my dad and he loves it, Still has the original battery and the thing started every day, even on the coldest days, like -30 C - A super deal for $3,000-

  • just got a 2009 hatchback model yesterday .. it handles great and the price was awesome! .. i only paid 11700 for the car and it came with the first package upgrade "air conditioning, floor mats, mud guards, tilt wheel" .. and it really doesnt look to bad in black. i am very happy with my purchase and you cant beat the 100000 mile coverage

  • i just got a hyundai accent 2002, and it's a super nice car.

  • i like it. it looks pretty good. hate the interior though.

  • FRUMUSICA MASINUTA....

  • I dunno guys, the styling is just too blahhh for me.

  • Besides all the bashing and hatred under this video, I enjoyed it and rated it accordingly, Thank you for sharing...

  • hyundai doesnt have the great reputation of a TOYOTA! hyundai belong to the cheap car class!!!!

  • yeah whatever...

hey, it's that your mom's Toyota that your driving now?

no offense dude, with my paycheck, i can only afford cheap car class. and i hit the sweet spot with hyundai verna (accent). Not ashamed, kind of proud since i paid for it with hard-earned cash.

  • maybe ure right if you're in the year 1999, but hey its going to be 2009, lol get educated bro,,i bet toyota vios cant even beat a verna 1.6, haha..last but not least get educated in car updates alrite slut...

  • hahaha, what a loser!

  • shut up slut!

  • This car is rubbish !

  • buckamoona u suck u fucker!!!!! i have this fxxxx car n its awesome! u sucker! u aint got nothin on me!u redneck, go drive away ure piece of shyt ford truck!

  • I don't have anything against Asians, it's not racial. I just want something that would stand up fairly well in a crash. But to be honest, as far as economy cars go, Japanese cars tend to be more efficient and last longer than domestics. But with performance in mind, there's no replacement for displacement, so unless it's got a big engine with rear wheel drive, the "performance" label doesn't belong on it.

  • I talked to a guy that cleaned up after car accidents, he said the messiest one involved one of these things on a highway. I really would not want to drive one of these pieces of shit.

  • Sorry, dude, but what you said is a comment with no fundation. I did have a fucking bad car accident, I got a broken rib and some other injuries, drunk driver hit me like a crash test, and MY ACCENT 2007 SAVED ME FROM SOMETHING WORST!!...the other car was a Lancer, it got totalled, my car was fixed by insurance and is parked at my garage, working fine...So, next time you say something, say it with base. BTW, there is no safe car over the 110 km/h, not even BMW or your beloved Toyota.

  • "say it with a base" I have the word of a guy who had seen these accidents first hand, that's enough for me. Also, you're comment about "there's no car safe over 110km/h" is wrong I have a relative that was in a collision in a crown vic at those kinds of speeds and walked away without a bruise. It's spelled "foundation" not "fundation". P.S Depends on the scenario too, I know that sounds stupid but I've seen a ford focus demolish a dodge durango, and only the durango was written off.

  • WOW! A GRAMMAR TEACHER!!..hey dude, "somebody that told you something..." nice, you did not see it, cant talk, I did was in the accident, nobody told me about it. You are one of those guys that hates Hyundai because some body told you to do it. Is that car good?, I did hit a 2007 Yaris in the rear bumper, I destroyed the bumper and the trunk door, my Accent just got a scratch, Need more?, Corolla 2005 hit me in rear bumper, my car: no damage, Corolla: needed a Bumper and headlamp repair.

  • That's spelling, not grammar, stupid. Okay that sounds convincing enough, although one last thing - it sounds like you're in a lot of accidents, maybe you should consider driving school. I've had close calls (cruising along the highway 140km/h come around a corner and slam on the brakes to avoid rear ending a cabbie doing 10km/h down highway, road not shoulder). But I've only been in one accident personally. You're talking about the newer accent, the guy I talked to retired years ago.

  • Is it your fault when somebody hits you in the rear bumper while you are in a traffic light?. Yaris case was a stupid lady that changed lanes without turn light and stopped suddenly, and about the big crach I had, I told you already, it was a drunk driver that hit me in my lane, frontal crash. I DONT NEED A DRIVING SCHOOL, I AM SURE I DRIVE BETTER THAN YOU. I was declared not guilty of all accidents FYI, ENGLISH TEACHER, or better said, FREAKING IDIOT! Show more respect if you want some, too.

  • I don't care whether he crossed the lines or not, you probably could have avoided that. The thing about cars hitting you in the rear bumper - I didn't hear anything about stop light, the one thing I see all the time here is people slamming on their brakes at the last second, every morning some driver coming off 12 hour shift on 3 hour ride home (not at peak mental state) won't notice right away and rear end the idiot. It is possible to cause someone behind you to hit you.

  • FYI, "dumbass" would have had more shock value than that long winded insult you wrote. I can't talk about driving skills though, you should see me on a forklift XD

  • So they may have changed something in the newer models. Either way, I'm not calling him a liar because you saw something different, remember my example of a Focus demolishing a Durango, I've heard people say how weak focus's are in crashes, doesn't necessarily mean both are wrong, some cars have their own individual quirks. Maybe some cars are stronger than others regardless of being the same make + model.

  • in my family everybody have hyundai. we have a sonata my grandma have getz my cusin have santa-fe. and we have never had problem with them, so im sure our next car will be hyundai, maybe the new genesis

  • thats better, if they did im sure it would suck as much as american cars, i sure wouldn't buy them.

  • Is it me, or do I see this car on the road a lot

  • it might just be where you're living in. here in minnesota the only hyundais i see are tucsons

  • haha really?

  • yeah, a couple of years ago i never saw any hyundais here, but now there's a whole lot more.

both of my parents have a hyundai

  • I don't see many Accents around where I live. I like them though, so when I rarely see one it always catches my attention. On my commute to school I occasionally see the same lady pass by me in her lime green Accent hatch and I always twist around in my seat to get a good look at it.

  • y does hyundai make fucken ugly cars? i would buy this if the lights were curved differently and the body was also, little changes... i think their trying to keep with their old models...which also looked like old herpes infested aboriginals of australia

  • I suppose you think you're cool because you think your opinion matters on the internet? Basement much?

  • yeah all i do is play wow and diss hyundai

  • I like my car, if you dont find mods for your car from your dealer, begin to search on internet, there are H&R suspension springs, short ram intakes, you can also add new wheels, an sportier muffler (you may need to modify the rear bumper), there are also some Korean websites offering body kits. Dude, use your imagination and use the internet.

I already got the wheels and the H&R springs for my car. Also the rear spoiler.

  • Simple design, Im beginning to see this car all over the road now.

  • You can buy accessories for this car from the dealer. I have this car with some mods.

  • Perhaps a difference in the way the American dealerships work (I'm assuming you're American), because just last month I visited the dealer (here in Ontario, Canada) and the parts department verfied (face to face, not over the phone) that they did NOT have any mods for the 2006. I was really disappointed because they have mods for the '07, and I don't think there's that much of a difference, but they seem to think so. :(

  • My car cheap and good.....
