the top layer is skatelite, its more durable and better than masonite. the coping is filled so bees dont make nests in there. we used to put a tarp on it but not anymore because the skatelite is waterproof and it lasts fine in the rain. it cost about 2000 because skatelite is expensive. and thanks guys haha
