@TheBroadwayChick22 I didnt notice the pop too much on this video.. i wasnt sure what u ment. then i watched blaires and noticed what i think ur talking about .. then watched madelines again. I think what u are hearing is the girls ending the note... they have a 'break" in their voice at the end of the note... thats the only way i can explain it. if anyone else understands what i mean and has a better way of explaining it... go for it. LOL.

I have a question. I notice this when madeline and blaire sing: Sometimes after they hit a high note in thier belt voice, you hear kind of like a popping sound, is that thier soft palad lifting up? I think it sounds really cool and I've been wondering about this for ages, so can someone please explain!

@TheBroadwayChick22 I don't know what popping sound you're referring to, but the soft palate doesn't "pop" suddenly - it lifts gently - so it wouldn't make a sound like that. Maybe the sound is related to the microphone or something?

I think it is totally unfair to make a comparison between an eleven year old singing a new song in a voice lesson with the lousy acoustics of a small room and with only the poor quality sound of background music from a CD player (?), with a Professional singer who has sang a song over and over in a studio until it is perfect, with both the voice and music edited to perfection. Madeline sounds GREAT despite the limitations!!!

I just listened to Beyonce' Live at the 2009 NAACP Image Awards, and Madeline sounds much better than she does. Beyonce' shouldn't be singing this song, LOL. Listen to Madeline's singing of Halo in a version by AndoInAus who enhanced the sound and added simple vocal effects similar to what Beyonce' uses when she sings it. I say back away Beyonce' you've been outclassed by a talented 11 year old. I put it as my featured video so you can check it out. Can't get a link to post here.
