I'm one of the biggest Hank Williams fans who has ever lived, and have been for at least 45 years, And I really must say that whoever disliked this.... is an idiot. Linda Ronstadt is and always was..... AWESOME!
I love this song and she does it beautifully. I have always thought Linda had a truly extraordinary voice. I loved the duet she did with Don. I would also have enjoyed seeing her sing with the Ev's the way Lulu did on her show. I wonder if such a clip exists anywhere????
@Drillin4Oil Your right. The level of fame Linda attained had a lot to do with it. When that happened she recognized peole had higher expectation and this made her self-conscience. Vocally, however, she always rose to the occasion . . . as long as she wasn't too bored with the material but that's another story.
Since I'm pretty sure VCRs hadn't been conceived yet, much less invented when this video was current, I'm assuming you have a time machine of some kind. Thanks for using it to so find this video.

Linda has a way of making any song her own.

Funny, Linda seemed more confident in her younger years.
