This note is huge! The only time I saw one was (strangely) at a bank here in Canada. I've never seen them in Europe. Usually there I see €50 or €100 maximum from cash machines.

The largest American note is $100, and 'benjamins' are forged all the time even though the US treasury changes the security features every five years. What the heck is the ECB thinking when they print €200 and €500 notes? It's an invitation to counterfeit money.

@2051985 this bank note is from France, the "U" before the serial shows were the note was printed. Also, the signature at the top is the old style, pre 2003. My advice? Keep it and don't spend it, it will be worth double in collections in five years. Btw, i know this since I usually come in contact with these bills :P
