Seth MacFarlane was using a Down Syndrome character as a weapon to throw a jab at a political figure that he disagrees with. By doing it this way he was demeaning all those who have Down Syndrome and simply caricaturing an entire group of people.
Really, he was demaining all those who have Down Syndrome? Really, even the Andrea Friedman the down syndrome actress who did the voice over for the character? Man we really need republicans back in power so they can tell people what's good for them
watched the episode? the down syndrome character was portrayed as a normal person, not treated differently and was made a love interest. How is this putting people with down syndrome down?
It seems they did jokes on Clinton and others and no one complained about that. I don't think the joke was about Trigg or any special-need baby, it was aimed at Sarah Palin.
I just saw that Bristel, the unwed mother, is going to be on a reality show.... why shouldn't that be open for anyone to make jokes about. She puts the kids out there all the time. It's about always being the victim, poor Sarah.
Aerialbomb, Bristol isn't going to be on a reality show. She's playing a character based on herself on a teen drama. The whole point of the series is to show what it's like to be a teen mother, and to discourage youth from becoming one. Sounds like she is trying to be a good example for others. And joking about Clinton, a grown adult who isn't handicapped, is not even comparable to mocking a special needs baby. If they want to make fun of Sarah, they don't need to drag her 2 year old into it.
How was that mocking a special needs baby? She was out on a date with a boy and I don't remember Sarah's name being brought up in the show. As pointed out above, the actress playing her was real as well. Palin likes to play the victim all the time.
Aerialbomb, If you can't make the connection that a Down Syndrome character whose mother was the "former governor of Alaska" is a jab or even a reference to Sarah Palin, then I think you are being intellectually dishonest at best. I know that the actress is someone who has Down Syndrome. Even if she has no personal problem with participating, it looks clear as day that MacFarlane used her as a tool to achieve a dig at someone he has a political beef with. Typical leftist cheap shot all-around.
Read what I said in the top thread "it was aimed at Sarah Palin".
I think it was just as funny as other things they've done..... seems Palin and her fans are a little thin-skinned. Certainy not the first time they're done things like this and won't be the last. You do understand that this was run on FOX TV. Imagine your outrage if it had been run on NBC, heh heh.
Liberals are very hate filled people. So much for liberals being compassionate and tolerant. What has this woman done to extract so much vile uncontrollable loathing hatred towards her? Is it that liberals are just evil nasty people by design?
Why are we giving Rupert Murdoch a pass on this? I mean it's his channel he is the one who pays seth mcfarlane. Rupert Murdoch is the one that allows his business to serve as a forum for family guy.
Murdoch didn't create the family guy. Murdock Seth Farlane did. Seth is the one who approves the script for Family Guy not Murdoch. So using your warped sense of logic, I'm suppose to not like the CEO of a media company, because an episode of a show airs wth the content I don't like. That doesn't fly.
Obama Democrats do not hate Sarah Palin-they hate the idea that she could be president.

Family Guy was harmless....They were just using satire...I thought satire was okay Sarah Palin?

I thought Family Guy was satire just like Rush Limbaugh recent Retard comments. Unless is the Satire is at Palin, then she takes it personally.

Regressives are very hateful, they have no tolerance, what a bunch of hypocrites. Even one of the actors on the show didn't like this segment.
