Wow. Don't let Stevie Wonder sing one of your songs.. that song will be different afterwards. As ya'll can see., I am having & needing Stevie today. Feed your soul! good people.
For anybody to suggest that Stevie Wonder has so called peaked, you are not a true fan, also you don't know shit about music! In what way has he peaked? He is every bit the multi-instrumentalist he has always been! Stevie's songwriting ability is still the best, check out "I CAN'T IMAGINE LOVE WITHOUT YOU" those lyrics will blow you away,in fact right after Michael Jackson's death, Stevie wrote "IN THE ARMS OF GOD". As for Stevie's voice,he sung "KEEP OUR LOVE ALIVE" early this year.
As Jermaine Jackson once said about Stevie "what can u say about a man who has gotten every compliment, won just about every award?" I have not the words to say how I feel about this man,he along with Rick James are my idols until death claims me.
@mrinnervisionz I am and always be a TAKE 6 fan. Ive enjoyed Stevies music since I was alittle girl growing up inthe 70-80's. GOD forbid when Stevie Passes away.. .The WORLD will morn him and miss him forever. But..... After going to a Take 6 concert that had a special guest (Stevie wonder), Stevie made an announcement on stage...He said "If I should go before my time.... I want... TAKE 6 to sing at my memorial"
@mrtiongson Marvin Gaye also described Stevie's music as simply cosmic,Herbie Hancock was asked in an interview years ago,"why don't you(Herbie) play the clavinet? " his answer was"because Stevie Wonder plays it".

I'm not a pro singer. But... lots of singers WAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYY overdo the florid use of millions of passing tones. It's as though they imagine the listener will become quickly bored. In fact, it's quickly annoying. From Patsy Cline or Ella Fitzgerald, they could learn to really deliver the content.
It's one hell of a thing. You can write your own song, sing it and get famous for it. But the last person you want to let get their hands on is it Stevie......Cause it might not be yours anymore after that!!!
@SovsBorg Absolutely! Stevie is the man. Thankfully the original is sung by James Ingram, another fantastic singer, so Stevie didn't crush him.
To take your idea: the worst thing you can do is produce a song with various famous artists and be Stevie part of it. He can't help it, he will be the person bringing it to the next level and runs away with it (We are the World, That's what Friends are for)......
This is EXACTLY why; Classic is Timeless, Bigtime Zeen:)!They Dont Make Them Like they use to, but this Definitely the Romance Lovers' Passion of Creme-Dela-Creme song Zeen:)!
Q was concerned that the band did not drive the beat. You can see it early in the song. Q would nver allow a song to get behind. Stevie drove it home. Great Job.
Stevie always manages to make a great song his very own.Wish he did this far more often these days (like Michael MacDonald's awesome survey of the Motown catalogue).

I loved . . . 99 and a half won't do! 99 and a half won't do! I was humming this all day long today, lol! 99 and a half won't do! 99 and a half won't do! 99 and a half won't do! 99 and a half won't do! 99 and a half won't do! 99 and a half won't do! Stevie makes anything HOT!
Excellent point! This song was Stevie's commercial song, and yes it is a little on the cheezy side. Yet with Stevie's voice it is great and very musical. There is an honesty and positive energy (not to mention his flawless uplifting singing talent) which only Stevie himself can deliver. Stevie would be able to turn much worse songs into something great.
