  • Heck yes! awesome playing.

  • i bough tmine used so i dont know, but does any one know what kind of pickups are on this guitar, like ik emg but what type of emg?

  • set neck and bolt on, sound the fucken same stop fight over which one is better little girls

  • what was the randy rhoads you played?

  • @georgeygeorgey1 off Blizzard of Oz.."I dont know"

  • @georgeygeorgey1 It's "Ozzy - I don't Know"

  • Should I get one of these or an ESP LTD KH-202? (Both are used, but in fairly decent condition and for around same price)

  • @eramir228 if the Get the Viper..it has a set neck.. If you need a tremolo then get the KH-202

  • MR SCARY!!!!!!!

  • @digitaldaze okey!! I'll buy that guitar weekend =D

  • Does this guitar active pickups?

  • @dancingtakosmonkey Normally it does. this one had duncan JB/59 passive pups.

this was a custom order and thats the way I got it. Normally its EMG 81/85.

  • @digitaldaze how did you custom order an LTD?

  • @syoun14 I bought it off a guy who worked @ ESP. It was custom made for somebody..forget who.. and the deal never happened??? Anyway... its just a JB/59 combo.. standard duncan config

  • I have a ESP LTD Viper 200 but it has a tuning problem.

You can go to my channel. I have only 2 videos and one of them is a demo about my guitar's problem.

It's in Latvian language, but you'll get the point.

Leave any suggestions, what could be wrong and what should i do.

But without - BUY A NEW GUITAR! :D

  • @Yankijs24 you need to have the INTONATION setup by a tech.. any good guitar tech can fix this for you. it should be done with a fresh set of strings . $50 usd is the average price.

  • @digitaldaze

I have brand new Elixir strings. Supposed to be one of the best.

The intonation has been set up, new strings have been set up, the fingerboard(griff) is straight .... i mean, everything has been done, but it still plays awry notes. Enspecially the 3rd string.

I have tested my guitar with 4 set of new strings. None of them change the awry sounding.

  • this isn't an ESP its only LTD the ESP VIPER STANDARD costs about 1600 euros

  • Basically they are the same, but I see the viper 400 has a white headstock and 401's have black.

  • what is the difference between the 400 and the 401?

  • Viper is one of my favourite guitars

  • Good player, good sound and nice guitar.

  • hey is this guitar light weight? just wondering cuz I'm deciding between this and the ec 1000 (deluxe)

  • both the ESP Viper and EC 1000 are light compared to a Gibson SG/Les Paul. You should not have any issues w/weight

  • @digitaldaze

Thanks bro... thats the kind of sound im looking for.... of course, since your playing into a camera the quality isn't as good as what it would be if i were to play next to my amp. But, that means it would be like 10x better, which would be sick. How much do these babies cost? Im hoping nothing more than 400 bucks?

  • I got this one used w/ the hsc for $200. but they usually go for around $400 used.. all depends on the seller's situation

  • @TheCondemnedProphet Musician's friend has a 401 for $400 new. I ordered mine with some other stuff (spent $600) and got 10% off with their "play" coupon code.

  • @RebeccaRhoads1993 same wood, different finishes, and the bridge and tuners are slightly better on the 1000.

  • Which George Lynch song is that? I've heard it a long time ago but can't remember the name. Mr. Scary or something like that?

Also the Randy song name too please!

Very nice playing, you and I have similar styles. I'm actually going to buy my first ESP, a Viper-400 this friday.

  • LynchMob - Mr. Scary

Ozzy/Randy - I don't know (thats the name of the song)

  • Pretty nice playing, but there's one thing that bothers me: This ain't no Viper 400, because of the visible poles on the pickups they are no EMGs, so this can't be a viper 400 so please do not lure people that look for 400 series LTD into watching this video, waste of 3 minutes...

  • Of course if i saw it wrong because of video quality then i apologize but these pickups seem to me like normal passive pickups with visible poles

  • I bought this from an ESP endorsed player. He custom order the guitar with Duncan JB/59 configuration. Say what you will, I assure you, this is an ESP LTD Viper 400.

  • No problem, thanks for informing me, i'm always glad i can learn something new, shoulda known, didn't wanna cause any problems so..keep it up!

  • I don't know if you swore not to tell anything but which ESP endorsed player was it you bought this from?

  • You focus too much on your gear then your playing

  • The focus of the videos is to present the gear for potential buyers, not entertainment!!!

  • My bad, so did he sell this stuff? Or did he rent it or something?

  • LYNCH!

  • the viper

it has easier acces too the higher frets, although the eclipse looks nice with its LP style body, its all about how comfortable it feels, and for me tht would be the viper

    :)

  • ECLIPSE!

  • eclipse for better sound and tone sustain etc

    for feel get the viper

    both very good though

  • rock bottom!

  • rip!!! so sick.

  • at 2:24 the first solo from master of puppets was wrong =)

  • What song at like 2:24?

  • its the solo from "master of puppets"

  • Thanks :)

  • that not a solo it a break

  • and what's the first song you play ?

  • Mr Scary by Dokken...its a George Lynch classic riff

  • what's your amp/stompboxes ?

    btw it sounds great.

and how is the guitar? i plan on buying a new guitar, and i'm considering this one, is it a good guitar for an advanced player, or i'll want to change it in a couple years ?

  • the amp is a solid state Randall WH-50 running into 2 mesa recto cabs w/vintage 30 speakers. NO Stompboxes/effects.. just guitar into amp/speakers. Its a good guitar, but if your an advanced player, my guess is you will want a Vintage Gibson SG in a couple of years.

  • thanks 666 ss72

  • what is the difference between the 400 and the 401 series ltd viper

  • I think it comes down to the hardware. really not much differnce

  • Nothing, the 09 models are called 401's instead of 400's. ESP changed all of their models numbers on the 400 series to 401 for some reason but their all 400 series models

  • Vipers Ftw!! =D

  • Right on brother!!!!! your downright scary...... Mister..... LOL 5 stars

  • awesome guitar, playing, and tone 5 stars

  • why is my guitar sounding all statickie enyone know?

  • Too much distortion? Don't worry it's common amongst us metalheads you might wanna check your patch cord.

  • finally somebody does a demo and doesnt crank the amp so high that the micraphone is overdriven. i hate when you cant hear the tone of the guitar cause the amps to loud. thanks man

  • sweet guitar and sweet licks dude

  • hey, love the video, what exact viper model is that?

  • ESP VIPER 400 LTD Standard Series Electric Guitar - Olympic White

  • are the vipers light in weight? , just assuming since they are sgs (lawsuit ha ha i said it) lol

  • they are just a hair neck heavy, but overall light compared to a les pual

  • wat about compared to a sg or strat even?

  • I remember it being about the same as a SG, and strats are usually lighter than SG's.

  • i mean a gibson lol, they are known for being super light and they are lighter than a strat, maybe not the biggest difference but anyways thanks for letting me know about the viper, i might think of getting one but not with emgs

  • well once it's light, thats the main thing

  • is the viper-401 worth getting?

  • sure, if you did the SG shape and like EMG pickups.

  • I have it, i fill unbalanced when i stand. I don't know how to balance :\

  • I think musicians fried is all out of stock of the viper-400. I bought one of the last ones on clearance for $399. They are being replaced by the viper-401 with a price of $599.

  • I think they don't make them anymore.

  • i bought a 400 on clearance to it was such a amazing deal=D

  • i dont know whether I want to get a ltd viper or an ltd ec-1000. anyone got any suggestions?

  • I would get a ec,cause viper is head balanced

  • Hey, I have a question.

Is this guitar the man-notes? Or would you suggest a Dean ML?

  • nice choice playing george lynch!!

  • 0:57 part is really nice, whats that song called ?

  • Dokken, its not love

  • awesome sound !!! i want this guitar but the new one with emg's 81 and 85, does it balance well ? and hum another question how about the neck is it thin enough, cause im lead guitar in a band so i need something like ibanez style neck

  • its well balanced, and the neck rips. go for it

  • i have this guitar with the EMG 81/85, but I also installed a PA2 gain Booster switch (Kerry King from Slayer setup) in mine, honestly it plays badass, but your used to an Ibanez its gonna have different feel, to me the ESP LTD VIPER 400 has a more of a Les Paul feel on the neck than an Ibanez Wizard necks, but it is very well balanced. You wont go wrong getting it:)

  • that's a nice video was useful for me!

  • do u figure Master by Ear?

  • I am giving up the guitar and never making another video. sorry to have cause you SO much agony!!!

  • hey how many electrics you got bro? I got 3 right now, i been playing a year, and im an intermediate player. I got an alexi-200, and epiphone sg and a epiphone futura. Should i get this and add it to my collection?

  • i would highly recommend it, i got one and added a PA2 gain booster switch to it (it comes stock with EMG 81/85 so i just basically made it a Kerry King of Slayer setup), and i dont regreat it, even though i am not that good at playin yet, lol.

  • What are you running the ESP through bro?

  • I've got a washburn x-30 and I'm thinkin about either putting seymour duncan blackouts or EMG 81's in it. Any suggestions?

  • Nothin beats EMG's:)

  • Duncans ?_?

  • Duncans are close, i have a set in one of my guitars, but "my opinion" nothing beats EMG's.

  • FOOL. plenty of pickups beat EMGs. it all depends on what sound you are trying to make.

  • first of all, why call me a fool, thats so immature.

But to the issue, i will refrase what i said, "EMG's are my favorate", if you look at my channel page at the list of my gear, you will see I have EMG's in most of my guitars, but i do have some Seymour Duncan SH-1 59 issue pickups in some for a different sound. EMG's being my favorate are just a personal opinion, should have been understood to begin with without having to say that... But you are right, it depends on what sound going for:)

  • i mean the guy is playing some Heavy Metal so EMG 81/85 "in my opinion" are the best for that tone, which dont get me wrong a Dimebucker, Blackouts, and so forth give awesome Metal tones also.

  • If you would have just read a couple more comments down i stated "in my opinion" in one of my comments:)

  • You are all fools of the highest caliber!

Bare Knuckle Pickups are the best pickups, hands down!

  • you just as immature as Eva03product for name calling !!! its a personal opinion, i do think Bare Knuckle's are good ones, i dont have a set in any of my guitars, but i have heard them in guitars before and they are sweet.

  • I guess your sarcasm detector wasn't working.

  • yeah it was working, i just dont stoop to a lower level!!

  • Sense:

    Your comment makes none.

  • lol, ok

  • I have the same EMG 81/85 combination in 2 guitars and I agree they are probably the best for metal. However, the dimarzio diactivators are a brighter sounding alternative that provides a more articulate, less muddy sound for really fast shredding. In my opinion they are therefore better for lead guitarists.

  • i will have to get me a set of dimarzio diactivators and try them out. sounds like some great pickups.

  • There are an ass ton of pickups on the market right now, but you have to really match what works in your particular guitar based on the bridge, bridge material, neck and body material, etc. What can say, I'm always looking for that more evil tone. Blackouts are on my list to try as well as the Deactivators you mentioned.

  • Yeah I'm gonna try out blackouts if I get another guitar with generic pups.

  • Are Duncan Blackouts good? I heard they were better than EMG 81/85s.

  • If you want an extreme heavy metal kinda sound then ABSOLUTLY! And an even better EMG combo is the 81/60 set, its just that hte 81/85 set is more common amongst guitarists so you can get their sounds quicker than if you would the duncans, but overall id say go with Duncans you wont regret it

  • I have it in sunburst with seymour duncans...fucking rocks.

  • Holy hell, did you guys hear that pinch harmonic these dude pulled?!?!?!? Is that the guitar or what?

  • Hey digitaldaze i see you have some nice Randals just sitting in your closest... hook a brother up ;P lol

  • originally with emg-81 and emg-85. this guitar rox.

i think ill buy this one on my 18th birthday^^

  • are those seymour duncans, did it originally come with emg's?

  • lol I loved this!!! it was definantly more helpful in deciding on if I should get one haha my friend is sellin one for $450 now I beleive it's a steal of a deal lol the other vid was too bassy on the amera I couldnt clarify the sound but this was definantly helpful

  • Damn... This makes me want to find some job and earn money for buying that guitar.

  • LoL! I know how dumb it sounds, but i feel the same way xD

  • i realy liked the riffs and i have same guitar in black its awsome

  • I have that same guitar (Do you have a problem with the neck sagging while you play (because of where the top strap peg is)? Mine tends to slide down on me. It's annoying as F***. Any suggestions?

  • Hey man, nice job. I have that same guitar (except black). Do you have a problem with the neck sagging while you play (because of where the top strap peg is)? Mine tends to slide down on me. It's annoying as F***. Any suggestions?

  • Same problem with my viper ! did you find a solution ?

  • Atreyu and Black Sabbath are as metal as i get.

    hahaha.

    THANKS FOR POSTING!!!

  • not into that stuff, but you sure do play well.

I just clicked on this because i was searching for videos to see what the Viper sounded like. THIS HELPED! I want to get one now! haha thanks dude!

  • Not into METAL???? Are you sure???

    THX for watching!!!!!

  • nice riffs man

  • thx for watching!!! The weather must be 20 degrees cooler in Fountain Valley.

  • yeah they usually come with ESP i thought

  • I thought these came with black headstocks?

  • I dont build them, just play them

    thx for watching

  • Yeah but all the websites i've been to have them with black headstocks.. where did you get one with a white headstock?

  • I bought it locally from an ESP endorsed artist (thats what he told me anyway). Its was a custom order becuase it came with DUNCANS, not EMG's.

  • Ah, lucky.. I wish they made all of em like that!

    Nice playing BTW!

  • The new white Viper 1000 comes with Seymour Duncan Custom-5 (B) / '59 (N).

Amazing guitar, bought it a few weeks ago!

  • This has Duncan JB/59 pickups. The standard issue usually EMG's 81/85.

    thx for watching!!!

  • Yeah I saw some of your other vids :

I like the Viper and the Gibson SG

  • Nice ;)

  • check out my other 24 vids, you will see some awesome guitars!!!

    thx for watching

  • What are you playing through during this, it sounds nice.

  • Its a Randall WH40 solid state amp thru 2 mesa recto cabs with vintage 30 speakers. very simple but decent tone for solid state.

check out some of my other vids, I also use a Framus Cobra tube head.

    thx for watching!!!

  • nice playin' bro ;)

  • thx for watching wheelieblitz!!!!

  • is it neck heavy? the gib sg i played was rediculously neck heavy so thats one of the biggest concerns with me buying this personally

  • do you recommend this guitar ?

  • sure, it has great tone, good construction and materials, its just made in Korea.

  • Really? I have had multiple Gibson SG Standards/Specials and did not have that problem, and the ESP was also well balanced. The only guitar I have owned that was extremely neck heavy was the Jackson KE2 Kelly. You had to change the way you stand to balance that guitar.

    thx for the question

  • Very nice...

I just ordered this guitar and can't wait for it to get here. I also ordered the AKG GuitarBug wireless system...is that what your using?? If so, how do you like it?

  • I am using the Samson Airline AG1. I works really well and has some good distance and doesn't pickup mexican radio stations(maybe thats just a california thing)

    thx for watching

  • Obviously I'm not blind but for the general guitar shape it is an SG shape.

  • yes. The 2 cutaways are not even like the gibson, and this guitar has 24 frets.

  • I prefer this guitar, because of the frets, and the versatility. You definitely could not play black metal on a Gibson SG (it would sound very empty), but you could play blues/psychedelic rock on a Viper.

  • There is something about white SG's that are so beautiful. Does that model have emg's on it? i cant tell.

  • this one had Duncan JB/59's in it.

  • dude, thats not an gibson or epi. sg, its an ESP LTD Viper 400, diffrent company :D

besides. its way better than an sg xP

  • ESP LTD Viper 500S is this a better version or???

  • I dont see a viper 500S on the ESP website, so I am not clear what guitar your asking about.

  • i´ve got a LTD Viper 500S, but i dont know if its better or not, it still sounds great

  • i like the guitar but frined has a lower model of the viper and its really hard to play with it buecause its seems that the headstock weigh and the guitars body weigh its out of balance to it goes down really easy

  • this guitar is well balanced and I didnt have the problem you mentioned. My Jackson USA KE2 Kelly had this problem, and you need a heavy duty leather strap and your legs need to make a small adjustment.

    thx for watchining

  • i like the guitar but frined has a lower model of the viper and its really hard to play with it buecause its seems that the headstock weigh and the guitars body weigh its out of balance to it goes down really easy

  • i play hardcore and metalcore and im debating between this (in black), an EC1000, or a schecter hellraiser tempest. overall the ESP/LTD seem like theyd be better quality since live bands even use them. opinions?

  • I have not played a schecter so I really cant offer any opinions on the Hellraiser from hands on experience. I am also not a fan of active pickups. The Viper I am playing has a Duncan JB/59 combo which works for me. The Amp settings/distortion are what really make a metalcore sound. I use a Framus Cobra and no matter what guitar you use, you will sound METALCORE!!! I also own a ESP LTD Mustaine V which I haven't made a video for yet, and that is a good choice too!!

    thx for watching

  • I'm trying to figure out the difference between the viper 400 and the viper standard series. don't know if i wanna spend the extra $800 on the standard series. do you have an opinion between these two?

  • the main difference I see from the specs is the standard has locking tuners, a ebony fretboard and a different nut. Other than that its the same guitar. I dont know the difference in price, but I perfer ebony fretboards over rosewood.

  • the viper standard is lighter and neck through rather then set neck as well

  • great

  • micro are emg or seymour duncan?

  • This guitar came from ESP with Duncan JB/59's

    thx for watching

  • dude are esp f series good? im thinkin of getting one and im not sure beause im in a punk rock/metal band. or should i just get a fender telecaster

  • Research the gear that the bands you like use and take it from there. That could mean buying an ESP and swapping out the pickups?

  • esp over fender for heavy music

  • Viper series are very good imo.

    Im going to buy Viper-50. = )

  • I thought the viper 400 was a good guitar, I am not familiar with the viper 50. I think the viper 50 has a bolt-on neck where the viper 400 is a set/thru neck.

  • no oen acn answer me. i got an epi-SG and its neck heavcy. is the viper neck heavy?

  • no, not all all, it was well balance and very easy to play standing up

  • I think it's a amazing guitar Viper 400, and the EMG's are super. It depends though what kind of strings u are using ....it's definatlly a guitar for master of puppets riffs!

  • this guitar came with duncan JB/59 passive pickups but still put out a monter tone.

    thx for watching
