I watched all of your HTC Hero videos in this series and I wanted to take the time to thank you for the excellent and informative job you did! I am getting my phone soon and can't wait to try it out.
Thank you! These videos have been most helpful. Today I ordered a hero to a local store, so I will have one tomorrow or the day after that. I am very anxious to get it and the song "I need a hero" is stuck in my head.
There is comming a main gps map company with a version soon. And yes there is office options out of the box (htink he even mentions it in day 2 or so) also pdf ofcourse
You can get TeleNav on the G1, so I assume it will work on this build of Android too...I'm not 100% sure, but I can't think of a technical reason why it wouldn't work.
Thanks for the hands-on - I see from your tweets that you've got another one today! I am so fed up with WinMo and am looking forward to the Hero - thing is, I would like a choice of sim-free colours and not just white...I like graphite but that is an Orange exclusive. Boo.
Also, how do you find the on-screen keyboard? All touch screen keyboards that I've tried are really finnicky. That's the only thing I would miss from my Touch Pro (that and PockeTwit!).
I have a question and I think a lot of people want to know this too.
When you go to albums, facebook or flickr( in the section of a contact person) , can you also see the comments made by people on a picture? And add a comment? Or can you only see the pictures and do you have to open the application by itself then to view the comments or add a comment?
Thanks for all the videos you posted. I watched them all and they really give an in depth review of a phone you don't see anywhere else. Just a big thumbs up for the last week worth of vids!
You're a star for doing these in-depth videos. Often, us phone-buyer never get to play with a phone for a week before we buy, so this has helped me choose my new phone!! Thanks very much, i've been waiting for a phone like this from HTC since my trusty SPV C500 on Orange, which i lost :o( This looks like it'll suit me down to the ground!
i love these vids because you have so much time with the phone. can you please tell me if you can use mp3s as ring tones (i assume u can) and if so i am getting this phone :)
I"ve said this before and i'll say it again, this sort of review has been the most informative, i've come across. the real world, day to day data and experiences is of GREAT use to us who plan on getting this phone in the coming week or two.
THANK YOU for taking the time and effort to put this together for us!
