Oh and in PerfectDisk 12, the statistics is a total mess. In 11 it's really easy to see most defragged files, how much fragmented a drive is etc. In PerfectDisk 12 it's all slapped into a single page and it hurts my head just thinking about it.
It makes my Flight Simulator X game crash all of the time. The game starts up fine but after 3-15 mins of playing it crashes, every time until I reinstall windows or reinstall the game but once I do smart placement again, the same thing happens again.
it's there any way I can make it defrag my drive faster! after 6 hours it was only 12% done!! I had to stop it because I would've to leave it for at lease 2 days to finish it!! to long!! my drive is only 320gb (well 296) and it doesn't look that bad!!
@rdloco - Probably because even though your drive isn't badly fragmented, all the data needs to be reorganized.
So the first time at least it will take a while. Once the data has been properly sorted it should be much quicker. That happens to all drives the first time you use Smartplacement.

but wouldn't SMARTPlacement place games files somewhere else (where they are not supposed to be) and then the game would be unusable?

With a normal defrag the game works fine.

Finally PD has the ability to place all directories closer to the beginning of the volume. Should speed up file access speed.
