These Egyptians suffer from serious inferiority complex. They must say they won a war in which much of their army (the 3rd army) has been completely captured by Israel. They had no more no more water and food. Israel allowed supplies to reach yhem for humanitarian issue. Egyptian victory lasted only two days. On the third day Israel was already driving the Egyptians out and in a few days Israel would invade Cairo if Sadat had not signed the ceasefire.

When the 1973 war ended on 26/10, Israel had more land west of Suez Canal than the Egyptians had on the east.
So between 06/10 and 26/10 Israel gained land and Egypt lost land.
The status on 26/10/1973 was:

But if Israel was on bad condition, it wouldn't violate a cease fire, and give their enemy an excuse to fight back.
Israel violated the cease fire because they assumed they could win,
and succeeded taking thousands of POW.

Where did you hear about the "sattelite information"? It was obvious to Israel that the Egyptian line was weakest in the areas between the third and second armies, so that's where the attack came.

before the "first cease fire" of October the 22nd 19:00.
By 22/10/1973 19:00 almost all of Egypt's anti-aircraft missile batteries near the canal were destroyed
and most of the 3rd army supply lines were cut off.
On 23/10 the Israelis only cut the last most southern supply road
and destroyed the remaining missile batteries.
On 24/10 the encirclement of the 3rd army was complete.

The whole aim of Israel's own crossing was not to capture Cairo, Suez or Ismailia.
It was to destroy the missile batteries and bridges behind the Egyptian tanks and infantry.
And cut off their supply lines.
So they would have been besieged and bombed,
until they are all being killed or captured after only one week or less.
Unfortunately for the Israelis, they had no such a week because America and Russia forced them to accept a truce.

at the beggning and the End, Israel lost, Israelis admit it even Sharon does, and i really hoped Israel wouldve gone into cairo, they would have been annihlated, egypt only faught with 80,000 troops in Sina, more than 5 Million back in the main cities.

Israel had already gained most of its achievements west of the canal
by October the 22nd, before the "first cease fire".
By the 22/10 most of the anti-aircraft missile batteries
that protected the 3rd army were already destroyed by Israeli tanks
and most of its supply lines were cut off.
On the 23/10 the Israelis only cut off the last most southern supply road
and destroyed the remaining missile batteries.
On the 24/10 the Israelis completed the encirclement of the 3rd army.

The ceasefire was before the 22nd the second one was on the 24th, Israel broke both, you circled the third army but you couldnt defeat it :P

The first cease was on 22/10/1973 18:52 Cairo time
Israel did not destroy the 3rd army,
because the super powers forced it to accept the ceasefire.
By the 22/10, the Israelis were in the offense and opposed the cease fire,
but Saadat knew his desperate situation asked for a truce.

How about you read a book written in a country with a fair and free press. Certainly a book written in your Arab dictatorship where the government controls the press cannot be considered an acceptable source. The 1973 was an overwhelming military defeat for the Egyptians. On the last day of the war, they had less land than what they started out with.

i participated in this war as a pilot and i have the honor to say that i bhelped to shut the empty big mouth of the zionest movment, but apparantly there are still some roaches that still squeeck.
