Snap on is great but that truck can get you in trouble, they cost serious money. Some tools are worth it like the wrenches, 1/2,3/8 drive tools, and ratchets I think as a heavy equipment mechanic, but some tools like allen, and torx sockets, and 1/4 inch drive sockets are not worth the prices . Bit tools and 1/4 drive tools are to easy to loose and just not worth those prices. But I buy stuff of the truck so long as I can afford it .
I heard, is it true that if a regular JOE blow goes up to a snap on truck with his broken socket wrench, the snap on rep won't even look your way? You either have to be a shop mechanic or a regular customer.
@spartansfan5 he can use the tools on the truck if needed, so he could just fix the truck because like what tool isnt on here... but i don't think theres an air compressor so that may not help. lol. but it would suck.
@Penguinboy1995 There has to be an air compressor so he can demonstrate air tools. You made me sea sick the way you moved that camera around. Try holding it steadier and linger a little bit longer on things.
tell you what. I can NEVER walk into a snap on truck without buying something. I purchase nothing but snap on tools. i used to think it was a rip off, but after i have broken many tools in the shop i bought snap on tools and have had zero problems.
I actually build these beauties in england where i work at kurt hobbs coachworks all the parts we use are shipped direct from USA and it takes 3 weeks to build a 7.5 tonne model from the bare chassis to the finished product and everything has to be pristine and perfect for some poor franchise guy to pay out £100000 for the truck. sucks to know you build snap on stuff but you cant afford snap on tools. check out the website kurthobbscoachworks (dot) co (dot) uk and check the special products tab
I have been hearing nothing but warranty problems with Snap On,some dealers can be pricks. The excuse is: Not purchased from me.My father had a dealer and kicked him out 12 years ago for bad service.Would not warranty anything worn out either, still does.Customers on his route have worn out stuff in their drawer this dealer will not warranty.
@wafrederick Your dad should complain to Snap On, thats no way to stay in business. The warranty doesn`t come from the dealers it comes from Snap On so it`s not up to the dealers.
@wafrederick I had a snap-on guy that was giving me problems a few years ago, and I called snap-on, and bitched about him, after that never any problems again . Some of the dealers are pricks about warranties because their to damn lazy to send the tools to snap-on, even though they get money back for sending them in . Those tools cost to much for them to give people a hard time over warranties .
@dave0z96 Plus Snap On now checks boxes for a reason.A dealer down the road in my area told my father and I about it.An ex dealer decided to mix rocks with broken tools sending the box this way to Snap On.Snap On opened the box up finding the box was too heavy finding the rock. This dealer lost his franchise.I know a couple areas that dealer would not go into,The Ludington/Manistee and White Cloud,Mi area. This was happening for years.
Up until now iv been buyin cheap tools mostly kobalt and craftsman but im gettin ready to start buyin snap on. Im gonna work on tractors and eventually 18 wheelers when i can afford 2 buy one and i was wonderin if i hunt the snap on guy down n my area if i can just pay him and buy the tools straight from the truck or do i hav to order them. I hate buyin em online if there was a store i wouldv been buyin em all along. And do u no ? There aint no store just wonderin.
@7366DIESEL yes you can just buy them off the truck. they get there shipments from snap on and he keeps his at his house and when he sells something on the truck he just gets another tool from his garage and puts it on the truck but yeah you can buy it off the truck, if they have it. and i dont think snap on has a store but yeah just find a truck and you can get the tools of there.
I love it when you ask about being jacked for the tools, I was thinking the same thing! Awesome video, always wanted to see inside one of those trucks. Why is there a Craftsman box there?
Over rated shit.
