I think if they put a wide rear tire on it instead of two it would be road legal. The only reason it isn't is because it has four wheels, thus classifying it as a "car" by US standards. Then it would have to pass the standards for a car rather than a motocycle. But if it had 3 wheels it could classify as a motorcycle, and it would have a much better chance of being legal

As it happens l was involved in the rebuild of a turbocharged Hayabusi a while ago..mainly in the redesign and machining of uprated front legs and yolks. lt now sports a custom built all stainless frame and a reworked engine giving in excess of 200 bhp and capable of pulling 240 mph so l'm told...not with me on,it bloody isn't ! But it truly is an awesome thing of beauty that's for sure. As for the Tomahawk...Better off forgotten l reckon.

That bike isn't that incredibly uncomfortable. I'm only 5' 7", so it was a little stretch for me (not like I'll ever actually own one though), but it was nice to sit on one. Wish it could be a more public bike though, cause I would love to own one! :) It's not a far lean forward, but it's not a cruiser either! lol

@RhythmPanda Actually, the Tomahawk had up to 20 degrees of lock to either side, and had a max lean angle of 45 degrees. Main reason it wasn't street legal, is because technically it has four tires so the all-wise US Government reckons it's a car, and therefore has to meet car standards for crash safety, which obviously isn't happening anytime soon.
