yeah. im glad you relize that. i play for my highschool team and we're throwin probably in the low 80s, and in MLB pitchers are throwing 90+. you pretty much have to guess what type of pitch is coming to you. so dont get mad at a MLB hitter for swinging at something out of the strike zone. they just guessed wrong. people dont know how hard it is to hit from 80-90+ mph. you basicly have to swing right when the ball comes out of the pichers hand...
@baseballevryday Somebody that doesn't know any baseball. He played most of his career with the Mariners. He played with the Yankees for 2 years at the end of his career.
all u guys r saying how johnson's pitch hits the glove like a gun and how ur scared to be the catcher. randy is over 40 years old and his fastball tops out at like 92-95 mph. i'm not saying hes bad but still. hes not the old randy get over it
you guys dont have any respect for hall of famers right? ted williams can't hit johan santana right now but he sure was. randy johnson has been the most dominating pitcher of the last 20 years and he still can blow it by people. didn't you watch last year post season? he was throwing 98mph in that game. he just pace himself.
Next time you win 4 Cy Young Awards, strike out 3,000 batters, and earn 285 wins, come talk to me. You probably like some short wiener like Tim Hudson.
if i'd go hunting with Randy Johnson i would use a gun and he would just grab some baseballs and use his canon thats connected to his body

He can still pitch, I think he'll wind up with either the Giants or Dodgers next year.
Why the Giants? From the Bay Area
Why the Dodgers? Went to USC, owns a house in socal
And does he go into the hall as a Mariner or D'Back?
EPIPPY 3 years ago 3

BxL121 4 years ago
His size makes his release point over 12 feet closer to the plate...basically 48 feet away. That makes 92-95 seem like 98-100.
Now you see how he consistently struck out 300 guys per year when he was actually throwing 100 =P

5 time Cy Young winner, runner up in '04 to steroid user Clemens, more than 4000 k's. Naw I guess he's not bad.
