OK if you want to discuss this rationally we can discuss it rationally. I responded the way I did because Obama is a candidate who actually tries to talk about issues on an intelligent level, and everyone seems hellbent on dragging him back down into the soap-opera/playground name-calling politics that is at the lowest rung of actually getting anything accomplished. It just pains me to watch the mob smash intelligent discourse with such success using a bunch of long-shot conspiracy theories.

So why do you think he is a Muslim? How likely do you consider it to be that he was trained as a child in the 70's to do what he has done, and come off so rationally with messages of unity and global peace, both in speeches and unprepared conversations, while actually harboring irrational hate. It barely even seems humanly possible to me. At "worst," he holds some values derived from Muslim.

I would consider him being more Muslim than Christian quite a longshot, and a fanatical Muslim negligible. Furthermore, I would consider a candidate being paid off by a foreign government a much, much more likely scenario as far as conspiracy theories go, and I wouldn't exactly consider that likely (although Hillary had an adviser who was...)

Also by "paid off" I mean it in a sense that they're completely bought out to the point that their loyalties lie with that country, and are only running to get that country in power. As far as being paid off on a single issue, that probably happens more than I would like to know.

Ok you're basing your argument on two factors; his dad, who left him as a child, was Muslim, and he spent time in Muslim countries as a child. Also, making statements like "you probably can't read" doesn't add any credibility to your argument, and is case and point of how you're just blindly trying to pin negativity on people.

Also, he probably does have more sympathy for Muslims than you do, in that he actually sees them as people, not some troublesome vermin that need to be exterminated. The Muslim fanatics are no more representative of average Muslims than the Ku Klux Klan is of average Christians. You should spend some time abroad, it might broaden your perspective a little bit.

I think McCain has a winning campaign strategy. Act nice. Insist others be respectful to his opponent. Support reasonable positions on various issues that the majority of americans want. Support the Iraq war and protect the US without being excessively hawkish about it.

Stand back as the crazy democrats self destruct and burn down their party with their own bad behavior.

You know I make my living in a field that involves closely monitoring the US economy and it's not exactly falling, lol. Just about the only thing I can think of that might change that are the incredibly huge tax increases Rangel and the other dems want to pass. Not that they will ever get the chance since Obama has literally handed the presidency over to McCain on a silver platter.

As for wars. Those fucking scum need to die. That pretty much sums up the dominant view of voters on it.
