The bullet isn't what hit him, it's a piece of the plate; hence him saying "No more iron". Bullets are far too soft for this to happen, the lead would rip itself appart spinning at the speed required for it to make the whislting sound, and it wouldn't survive the bounce in front of him were it even able to make it back.

this rifle is most likely a .50cal Barret rifle. it can penetrate lightly armored vehicles easily and it is so powerful that it is used to hit targets accurately up to 2km away when an experienced soldier uses it. it is REALLY rare that the bullet ricochets from a target right back at the shooter but it is possible and the bullet does infact lose it's velocity when it hits the target and the ground but it still has the momentum to kill you if it hits. conclusion: this isn't fake. dude was lucky.

Well...you can shoot metal plate. You just have to suspend it, or fashion it so it'll fall over when hit. The object is for the target to exhaust ALL of the energy from the bullet. Better yet, angle it slightly downward so if you DO get that one in a million bullet that wants to come back, it'll reflect downward.

I have a feeling this steel plate was up against firm dirt or rock and angled slightly back. The round came back subsonic but it would have killed if it hit the soft part of the skull.

Just because it rebounded off a metal object and hit the ground does not mean it would loose enough velocity not to kill him. If it traveled over 200 yards in the span of 1 second.. well you do the math. This bullet is still traveling over the speed of sound.

This looks to be real to me. Nevermind all the algebra and statistics. It appears that something does hit the ground in front of the shooter the moment before impact. However, I think the target hit was farther than 100 yards down range. The bullet took too long to get back. Perhaps it penetrated the target and hit a secondary target..

Everyone does realize that the ricochet is traveling faster the speed of sound, right? Therefore you would see the bullet ricochet on the ground before you could hear it.

The bullet left the gun at nearly 3,000 feet per second. Sound travels at 1,125 feet per second. I doubt the bullet lost 2,000 feet per second from the ricochet. This is ignoring the fact it wouldn't bounce back in the first place.
