well, it could be backlash for Sega's decision to become a strictly third party developer. IGN and Gamespot are all on Sega's nuts when discussing their console days. But then again, IGN gave a lot of the most classic N64 games a bad ratings, despite their being top sellers or cult classics.
The problem is that Sega is no longer the massive innovator of technology that they were once were, much of the development in Arcade and home console technology owes Sega bigtime.

Super Mario Kart was out on the SNES in 1992. Sonic Drift was out in 1994.

Oh wait I think that one NASCAR Game might have been made by EA but I'm unsure I mean i thought Crush 40 had been with them since the days they were known as Sons of Angels. Still I do hope for the NASCAR Crush 40 tracks regardless. I actually have their Self-titled Album and I actually really enjoy the music from that game.

He was also in the initial prototype gameplay, although i haven't played as him, and this was a prototype, but, yes, he has been finallised and is one of the characters to go into final production.
If Sega are willing to venture outside of their Sonic Team repertoire and include characters such as Ulala, I don't see what should stop them from including VF, Streets of Rage, Golden Axe and Shenmue characters too.
But then I remember Sega don't care about their fans these days.

All of the ideas are by Sega, the name of this game is down to Sega. The developers are only developing the, animation and controls. The name is translated from the japanese version of the game by our HQ's, in USA and the UK.
The only reason people think this game will suck is because Sonic is driving a car. Sonic Drift sucked and I can think of many reasons why it did, and none of which involves Sonic in a vehicle. in comparison to this game, Sonic Drift is very bland and uninspired. Besides, this game is being developed by Sumo Digital, who are the best at making racing games like Outrun. There's more reason to believe this game will be great rather then the small reason it will suck just 'cause Sonic is in a car.
Not that this game will suck but this is not a step in the right direction. This is not as bad as Sonic and the Black Knight but the only thing that should have Sonic in it is another game like Sonic Unleashed with Daytime levels.
Why call it Sega and Sonic All star racing. Why not call it Sega All Stars Racing. like they did with tennis.

E-102 Gamma's levels were cool, and I actually found Amy's missions fun. They were even better when u did the B and C missions. I didnt like Sonic Heros, for multiple reasons, one of them being that everytime you switch characters they say the same damn thing over and over. Another reason is that with team Sonic or Dark the levels take forever. No matter how fast you barrel through them. Then you have to come to a grinding hault to fight enemies....I mean WTF?
You know, given that all these characters had cameos in Sonic Riders anyways, this really is just the same game but swapping out hoverboards for go-karts.
Why does need to drive a car? We can as fast as the speed of sound. Why is Tails flying a plane? Wouldn't that be cheating because he is in a plane and could fly over the track while everyone else is in car?

You obviously don't know how to Sega. You see, I'm from a generation that had good Sonic games. They used to be on the Sega Game Gear, a hand held device that took 8 batteries to run. After Sonic 2, the games became mundane. He doesn't need this! He doesn't need a kart racing game because that is not who he is! He's fast, loves to run, and is cocky! The only modern day game that came close to Sonic's original idea, personality, design was his appearance in Super Smash Brothers Brawl.
I know and owning a Sega mega when I was five and having 2 go 2 car boot sales 2 get the cartridges of my favourite characters first EVER adventures But will it rely help by bad mouthing Sega I know I too would prefer sonic to run at blistering speeds through lush and vibrant locations (like sonic unleashed but purely day) and have a the link to the classics as well. BUT that is not gunna happen now so I guess were just gunna have 2 enjoy the ride instead of criticising every mistake Sega makes.

He was also in the initial prototype gameplay, although i haven't played as him, and this was a prototype, but, yes, he has been finallised and is one of the characters to go into final production.

If Sega are willing to venture outside of their Sonic Team repertoire and include characters such as Ulala, I don't see what should stop them from including VF, Streets of Rage, Golden Axe and Shenmue characters too.
But then I remember Sega don't care about their fans these days.

i dont get whats the point of taking three years to make the hedgehog engine if there only going to use it once. i mean i know sonic team doesnt care and sonic is only used for money but it seems like a big waist. and sonic trailers always look good but there usually always something wrong with the game

Fang is one of the Original ideas, and Fang's prototype has been made. He may or may not be in the final game. I'll keep you posted, if anything new goes up.

All of the ideas are by Sega, the name of this game is down to Sega. The developers are only developing the, animation and controls. The name is translated from the japanese version of the game by our HQ's, in USA and the UK.

The only reason people think this game will suck is because Sonic is driving a car. Sonic Drift sucked and I can think of many reasons why it did, and none of which involves Sonic in a vehicle. in comparison to this game, Sonic Drift is very bland and uninspired. Besides, this game is being developed by Sumo Digital, who are the best at making racing games like Outrun. There's more reason to believe this game will be great rather then the small reason it will suck just 'cause Sonic is in a car.

Not that this game will suck but this is not a step in the right direction. This is not as bad as Sonic and the Black Knight but the only thing that should have Sonic in it is another game like Sonic Unleashed with Daytime levels.
Why call it Sega and Sonic All star racing. Why not call it Sega All Stars Racing. like they did with tennis.
This game is broke my heart. I dont like it the action is cheap for a race.
Sonic Riders ZeroGravity Sonic Drift 1 and 2 were bad and heavily FLAWED.

Lame... Sonic nor Tails need a vehicle. Dr. Robotnic should be able to choose from his classic flying saucer-pod and a few of his other vehicles, and the other characters should get appropriate vehicles.

E-102 Gamma's levels were cool, and I actually found Amy's missions fun. They were even better when u did the B and C missions. I didnt like Sonic Heros, for multiple reasons, one of them being that everytime you switch characters they say the same damn thing over and over. Another reason is that with team Sonic or Dark the levels take forever. No matter how fast you barrel through them. Then you have to come to a grinding hault to fight enemies....I mean WTF?

You obviously don't know how to Sega. You see, I'm from a generation that had good Sonic games. They used to be on the Sega Game Gear, a hand held device that took 8 batteries to run. After Sonic 2, the games became mundane. He doesn't need this! He doesn't need a kart racing game because that is not who he is! He's fast, loves to run, and is cocky! The only modern day game that came close to Sonic's original idea, personality, design was his appearance in Super Smash Brothers Brawl.

I know and owning a Sega mega when I was five and having 2 go 2 car boot sales 2 get the cartridges of my favourite characters first EVER adventures But will it rely help by bad mouthing Sega I know I too would prefer sonic to run at blistering speeds through lush and vibrant locations (like sonic unleashed but purely day) and have a the link to the classics as well. BUT that is not gunna happen now so I guess were just gunna have 2 enjoy the ride instead of criticising every mistake Sega makes.
