You can take the volume of the high hat down with an EQ or by using mics on your other drums. I use a sound editing program to edit the sound on my covers. Allows me to EQ, compress etc, the other suggestion I would have would be to play with the position of whichever mic(s) you are using. There are a lot of videos on here on how to position mics for recording etc. Check out my drum covers if you like, my cymbals are all really cheap, but sound decent due to EQ and mic placement.

Brother un consejo, antes de hacer un drum solo, escucha bien el bombo, y las tiempos exactos de los platillos. Despues de eso recien podras hacer un video bueno porque este esta malaso.
he's saying bro just a comment before doing a drum solo really listen to the bass and the exact timimg of the symbols then you can make a good video because this one isnt that good at all
decent cover. you tend to lose tempo slightly during some parts. also when you hit your bass drum, you stick your pedal to it. its fine to rest your leg like tha but you dont get the best sound counsidering you muffle the last bass drum note every time. oh and other drummers play more than just the floor tom in the intro and such... but thats your style in your cover so its cool

for the start (tom tom intro) you should use all the toms not just the floor tom, and relax on your hi hat !!!
