How can you compare a Jeep Rubicon with a new model Range Rover. Whilst they are both great off-roaders, they are aimed at different markets. apart from being a great off-roader, the Range Rover is an awesome grand tourer eating the motorway miles with ease and absolute comfort. Land Rover and Jeep are two very well respected Marques and it does no justice to either the RR or the Rubi to compare them... chalk and cheese.....
I didn`t realize rover drivers were so touchy about their rides! She`s a fine ship and if you ever put real tires on it you could even take it off road.
You pansy yanky "jeep" owners must just pis of! what 4x4 did get the most awards over the world?... LAND ROVER DISCOVERY 3!!!! and stil i would rather take a disco 2! i want to see how far a jeep will go with street tires, off road.. Still the landy would win!
your absolutely right, i mean its a lil different but ppl say same thing bout having an H2, im deff not rich n i had one and bought it for $15,000 with nothing wrong with it and 68k miles lol
@footbagpro01 i got me my first 110 for €1500 and did her up a bit from there (she's an '86 and the love of my life) so hasn't cost too much, my first 4x4 was a €32,000 mitsub I200 twin cab(piece of crap)
This video may not be that intense, but Land Rovers will go a thousand places your stock pickups and Jeeps will never go. Look at their track record numbnuts.
@FLINTER1740 I have a stock cj2a tat will go more places then this being as it is a lot smaller then this. Still wouldn't mind owning on of these just saying size does matter XD
@bamper42069 Great rides, I have owned two of them. My first was a 1974 that was just siting and rusting. I bought is from an old man for nothing. Put a few bucks into it and drove it all the way to Alaska. It had a 304 with dual exhaust . I loved it!! My second one sucked. It had a 4 banger with big tires. It was a looker but a pile of ****. I have owned Toyotas, expeditions, Explorer and a host of trucks. I am just very partial to my Landy - it has taken me through some very rough stuff.
@FLINTER1740 must be thinking of a cj5 the last of of the 2a was 49 i beleave, know what you mean about underpowered i got the original L-134 in mine but has stock size tires so not to bad. It will go more palces then my old mans cj7 will, its 13 inches shorter then that. 304 would be pretty nastey in one but i could see breaking a few axles. But who cares what it says on it, its all about having fun.
Eh Not the Best i've taken Mine threw Alot more, Mines Higher though You should Really Buy a snorcle on it, Jack her up, And then Go, It will Be Alot better, Funner, And "intense"
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
I actually go on worse ways on my chevy aveo.....what you showed proves nothing.....just that you're so coward to take your little expensive truck to real roads.....go on and try....if you had money to buy it...and have money for the gas....you'll have money for a new suspension kit if this breaks on the way hahaha.....I love my country!!
haha rovers suck thats a good one u have any idea how many jeeps i have pulled out. hahaha wooo u made me laugh on that one i guess thats why the navy seals an marines prefer the land rover defender over all other vehicles. jeeps are a peice of shit from the factory
@jmorris6689 with u all the way until the SEAL and Marines comment.they pretty much use what the military gives them,u are partially correct in that it does not include Jeeps, BUT it also doesn't include rovers.SEALs use dune buggy, parachute or zodiac.Marines use armored personel carriers, or humvees. However, i must say i will absolutely say Rovers are VERY capable 4x4 vehicles, esp when talking of Defenders. One could arge that a Rubi is more equipped than a 2010 Range rover however :)
@domeslacker he said prefer, not use. and going of your comment of using what the military gives them, this indicates they are stuck with the humvees but want lr?
@gibbo1112 I'm saying that it's NOT what they use. Brit SAS uses the Defender. US forces DO NOT use LRs OR Jeeps. From time to time US Special Forces (and other special forces) may opt to travel in a local vehicle to better blend in. In the current Afghan war zone this is more often a Toyota or Nissan model vehicle, again not a jeep or LR.
so the day after you bought it you decided to go into a puddle? LMAO

for everyone that thinks Land Rovers automatically make the driver "Rich", Fuck off. Do some research on the prices of the DI and D2.

And BTW, the Queen of England owns a Land Rover Defender 90. Do your homework before opening your pie hole.
