is there a difference between linux-image-2 and linux-headers in the synaptic package manager ?? im not game to try it yet because i dont want to kill the wrong kernal .
I did that, but i thought i had the 2.6.31.20 version so deleted the 2.6.31.19, and now i can´t login to Ubuntu, i´m in Windows right now, but i´m downloading the 64bit version.
If i install a new version, all the kernels will be deleted?
when I go to unistalled programs in windows, I have ubuntu there, but I have 2...one is 8.04 and one is 9.04...if I remove 8.04 will 9.04 still be there and work?
You can use Ubuntu Tweak to do this as well. It lists all the unused kernels, so you won't accidentally delete your current kernel.

What recording device did you use?
I have XVidCap, but I call it XVidCrap, since it automatically closes after pressing the record button.
