This is the first track I ever heard described as techno. Still one of my all-time favourites. By the time I first started playing clubs & raves it was a couple of years old but I still dropped it now and then in the wee hours.
DETROIT TECHNO, U of D frat parties, Maxie's, That Place, Primadonnas, Oak park house parties, The Nectarine Ballroom, St. Andrews, where it all started! Nothing like my hometown on earth!
This is the song that brotke me in to house musik back in 88 this is the ultimate deep house track it doesnt get any deeper than this when i found this track on u tube I almost passed out after all these years of looking for it
@AnalogAssassin : i agree w/ yr comment, but you're not THE Analogue Assassin, are you ? To my knowledge, UR has no DJ from France + knowing how much Mad Mike despises the Old Continent... You probably thought it was a good nick (and it is, too !) BTW, this is NOT the original version from the "Innovator" album, which I happened to "grow up" with. The latter's much smoother, less overwhelmed with bass and its structure is less conventional. But, as a matter of fact, it's nowhere on YT.
this song is one of the best tracks ever made i made a tack like this years ago i always wanted may to hear it, to me Techno was always about emotions and the strings in this track are like a fantastic dream you never wont it to end ;-)
ONE OF THE BEST TECHNO TRACK EVER. LOVE THE CHORDS. DEEP SMOOTH WITH SWANKY PIPS. HAD DIS ON HOUSE SOUNDS OF DETROIT COMPELATION. I USED TO LISTEN THIS REVISING FOR MY CSE's & GCSE's BACK THEN. DEEP TRANQUILIC THINKING TUNE. GOD BLESS DERRICK MAY!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you for posting this classic track! This may actually have been the 4th house track I've ever heard, first at a house party, then at 23_Hop underground club in T-dot way back; '88/89?
Cool, thanks for upping... not sure about video game mass destruction as a backdrop to universal peace and love techno soul music but thanks anyway, Detroit techno 4 ever!
Played this track so many times on my Walkman, the whole track eventually warped. Forget the video above, just listen to the track and take it for what it is - the perfect techno track.
Agree, the swirly piano bit at 2:00 is the sneakiest break ever, what made him put it in, maybe his cat walked on his mixing desk just then & spilt his frappichino? who knows...
oh pleaassse... why make such a comment, never even looked at graphics whatever whats your point please, like the music, like the music, simple, innit....
Fair enuff jijileila, agree with you there, I`ve bought records in the past that dont listen to anymore but still have in my collection as the covers are cool, Depeche Mode always had cool covers on most of their output, then when they released their greatest hits, the cover looked like someone had made it using microsoft paint, but for a musical c.v of your whole career, is it just lazyness or cheapness? I have a lot of great records with absolute shit covers & vice versa
One of my all time greats, Fucking love this tune.*****

Only 44,755 views for the most perfect techno tune ever? YouTube you disappoint...
TheGeraldemerald 4 months ago
Only 44 000 views in 3 years,for a track like this,that's pitiful.
I reckon this joints still too austere, bleak, futuristic, mind blowing for
most soft,conveyor belt sheep today.
