Considering that in 1961 black or mixed race people couldnt even vote in some of the US, I just dont see a motive for his mother to put fake birth announcemnts in newspapers planning for when her biracial baby with a very non-Anglo name would become POTUS. plus I think either the Clintons or the GOP would have got proof if it was false.

Listen to yourself, look how offensive you are to liberals. You just ranted all your stereotypes about liberals and forget that one thing liberals hate more than anything is are stereotypes. Find the motives for peoples actions to judge them, not the actions themselves. For example, If somebody burns a flag, they might just be trying to get heard and not actually hating the flag.
To say "liberals hate morals" is so idiotic that anybody wanting to correct you feels powerless.

The definition of libertarian contradicts most of your stereotypes. I consider myself liberal because conservatism is brutal hypocrisy. Republicanism is fine with me, but what do you want to conserve? slavery? hatred for homosexuals? Problems only get corrected when we admit they are problems.

She's my mom! So please be nice. Yes, we are Barack's Kansas family and we are very proud of him. And we're also proud of my mom.
And for those of you who want to have a political debate, why don't you take it elsewhere. There are plenty of places online to argue. It took a lot of courage for my mom to step in front of the cameras, particularly in today's political environment. Her motivation was family, not politics.

Both sides are guilty, but you are wrong in saying that the Democrats are not equally hypocritical and hateful. Republicans and Conservatives (of whatever income standing) stand for good values and sound judgement. I will agree that Bush and Cheney have failed, and as a social conservative, I was deeply let down by their actions. But I do not give up hope that there will be someone who actually stands by what they preach, if you will.
