i remember i was almost 10 years old when this happened, my family and i were at broadway at the beach, and i was in this big arcade with my dad, then he yells tornado, and i look up and see the funnel forming, i was scared to death. my family and i ran until the manager of the hard rock cafe opened the bottom doors and told us to get in.

@Jaredcsloan "Tornado Alley" is equiped for such disasters. Not the oceanside. We live in Chattanooga and several of our homes were destroyed. Was there a hurricane out there? Sometimes Tornado's follow Hurricanes. Pretty rare on the E-coast

Wow, it's hard to believe that the 10th anniversary of the tornado was just last Wednesday. The time sure does fly by. I was at the beach that day with my family, we were staying at Ocean Lakes where we used to have a beach house. To this day I can remember our neighbors from across street flying in saying that they saw the tornado up on the beach.

It came right through my hotel the Lands Inn.I got fubar the night before and did'nt get to sleep to about 11 am ,and i slept right through it, When i woke up at 5pm i went out on my balcony and seen debris everywhere and all i herd were sirens then i went outside and i couldnt believe what i saw my hotel was in shambles,They had to close for a 14 months and rebuild ,the damage was that bad, Much Thanks 2 jaredcslone for showing me a up close and personel view of the Beast.

@wseale85 im not kidding, alot of people were stuck on the beach because hotels locked there doors, everyone went under this huge plaza or merry go round thing and hid there, it didn't tear it apart because it wasnt that powerful and it was made of metal

It came right through my hotel the Lands Inn.I got fubar the night before and did'nt get to sleep to about 11 am ,and i slept right through it, When i woke up at 5pm i went out on my balcony and seen debris everywhere and all i herd were sirens then i went outside and i couldnt believe what i saw my hotel was in shambles,They had to close for a 14 months and rebuild ,the damage was that bad, Much Thanks 2 jaredcslone for showing me a up close and personel view of the Beast.
