I feel that this may be the most underrated and overlooked country song of all time. It is simple short, evocative and poignant. It does share a rather common title(Don Henley has the more famous "Heart"), but it is simply beyond me why this song remains so obscure. In any event, it remains in my all-time top 5 country faves. The other 4 would include Reba's "And Still", Garth Brooks" "The Dance", Toby Keith's "And We were in Love", and Joe Diffie's "John Deere Green"
I was working at 990/WNYR in Rochester... (Stations not there anymore, alas!) playing country when this song first came out. Alas, it never made it to the top rank in the singles count. Darned shame; I've always thought it was the prettiest song the Kendalls ever did.
"I had the LP also three others I bought in 1978-9. Thanks for the Radio was my favorite. I loved her and all the many hats she wore."

Jeannie's soprano voice has been compared to Miss Dolly, and rightfully so! Hit #26 in Billboard, 5-16-81. God bless you, sister Jeannie!

It's surprising how some of the songs get set aside while others reach the top that shouldn't really be there. Thanks for listening!
