The penalty was warranted, and Collins should have been ejected. The ball was past Williams, and Collins had time to change his trajectory. He laid into Williams simply because he could; the hit was totally unnecessary.

Collins had no reason to lower his shoulder and smack the back of Roy's helmet with his own he just wanted a free hit I know the feeling. He coulda held back easily. if Collins felt he coulda made a play no matter how quick it was than his ass shoulda went after the ball not Roy's head. No bullshit excuses for Collins.

Collinsworth and Favre should retire together! I think he meant that it's a joke to fine him later for possibly changing the outcome of the game. If you review other things you could review a hit and that player needs ejected at time of hit not fined later. If not leave him alone! If a player feels this may threaten his ability to help his team, he will go back to "technique" tackles. Put your shoulder on the ball and cause the seperation.
