Traded my iPhone 3G for this...I liked it the first week but after that, no way. This phone definitely has amazing specs but besides the camera quality, the iPhone wins.

I thought it was awesome when I saw reviews and trailers but after having it for a week, you realize how stupid it is. No multitouch is SUPER inconvenient and the keyboard+spellcheck are terrible. The battery will last only a day if you DON'T use the phone. Using the phone will only last half a day. PLUS, it overheats EASILY.

When glass is that thin, its very difficult to break. Besides, what alternative do you have? Plastic isn't as clear as glass, and if you reinforce the glass, it would look horrible.

Anything other than glass it wouldnt be a capacitive touchscreen, meaning you'll need to use a Stylus or pen to navigate the phone, like the Palm Pilots. The reason for a capacitive touchscreen is so it can register even the lightest touch (from a finger) and the only way to do that is with glass

Downloaded movies and video also praticed my ear to hear english speaking... but I am not fully bilingual yet because I never spoken in english with someone in real life.

So that's two... but I am not sure if I will be able to speak english well on the first try. I don't know of english speaking people to practice with.

AT&T is a bitch and will change your data plan if they detect the IMEI of a smartphone. It just happened to me (I had a N1 on their $15 a month dumbphone plan, they changed it to the $30 one at the end of the billing cycle).

The Nexus One does in fact work on 850MHz, but you'll only have 2G support. For 3G, you'll have to wait for the AT&T-compatible (UMTS 850MHz) version, which will probably also be marketed as Rogers-compat.

I'm pretty sure Google wouldn't have to have AT&T's permission to make a compatible handset, but it would limit their marketing since AT&T wouldn't discount the phone as one of their own. The chipset in there will do both 3G bands, so why not spend the extra $5 per handset to make it work on both out of the box? Probably a decision made by some marketing weenie or bean counter.
