@B757200ER I'm running win 7 pro and it is running fine now. Had some bugs to work out of the Bluetooth a while back, but an update fixed it. Unless you need the network portions of Pro, stick with Home. Then again, you can get much better netbooks than this one now days. I'm trading up for an Adam by Notion Ink as soon as they come out! Goodbye netbook, hello tablet :D
Hey, I have a NB 200 as well and I was thinking about putting windows 7 on it. I was wondering what did you do with all those drivers that were preinstalled on XP?
Well I backed up the install packages on my server for safe keeping. But it's best to install the most up to date drivers from the Toshiba website if you are doing a new OS install. I will be installing win7 on the NB200 again after a down grade to XP to sort out a driver conflict with my cellphone. Just been too busy with school to do it yet.
I can barely hear my fan most of the time. I think it only comes on when I am watching video. The touch pad is nice with the stock OS, but has driver issues with windows seven.
What way? Like I said in the video, this is windows 7100 release candidate. Windows Seven is the operating system after Vista. I ran the BETA for months before the RC came out, now I have been running the RC since early June.
wow thats fast. my toshiba l300-03c takes 1:25 seconds to get to desktop with vista. shows how much better W7 is. but i won't be buying W7 until microsoft has had it out for a year or two.
Well the RC was available to use free until summer of 2010 so I thought why not use it until then and see if it is worth buying. So far it has been good, but I have had issues with my touch pad drivers.
yeah i have w7 build 7077 on one of my computers, a p4 512mb ram, and it is pretty good, but if you open up too many windows then some glitches with animations show up-the X button turns green when you mouse over it. and another thing, if you leave the computer on for several hours, it slows down so much, when you go to use it you have to wait like 10 seconds for the start menu to appear. but it speeds back up after a few minutes use.
Hmmm. The ten second lag time may be the computer pulling from a page file due to the low ram. I'm running one gig of ram and it still would like more, but runs okay for the time being.

does toshiba nb200 cooling fan make noise please tell as i have heard in some reviews that it fan does not work smoothly
and also what about the touch pad is it responsive and has good feed back
