I can see from the lyrics how the Dutch anthem was named (Het Wilhelmus), but how did the Luxembourg anthem get the name "De Wilhelmus" since I don't see any reference to Wilhelmus in the lyric as posted at RoyalofLuxembourg? Bitte, please reply in English. Danke.
@georgeexoo the national anthem of Luxembourg isn't named Wilhelmus it is name "ons heemecht" means our Homeland. The Wilhelmus you're refering to is the royal song/anthem of our Grand-Duke.
The Melody is the same as the dutch national anthem but it has no lyrics. It is the same because it refers to the same dutch King William the 1st. as he was the 1st Grand-Duke of Luxembourg,
