@Abbadon380 You forgot south-east Russians, they're fairly yellow. Btw, you pretty much listed all the Asians. All that's left is the Middle Easterners, Indians, Austronesians, etc. In the Americas the term Asian refers almost exclusively to those from the Asia pacific region, such as China, Japan, South Korea or Vietnam probably because these are the majority of the Orient that are of the "yellow" ethnicity while the rest have their own. Indians use "Asian" similarly to us, why not you?

@Abbadon380 I'm assuming it's because Chinese, Japanese, and Koreans are what Americans see the most of while growing up. Not only that, but China's huge and where a large amount of our products are made, Japan's fuckin weird and it's common for kids to be into anime these days, and North Korea is an on-and-off hot topic here. It's also likely due to the ethnicity, like I said before, and most people are too lazy to care about any ethnicity besides the ones they encounter most.
