i have the same one and yes this is a newer model . in order to get that orange cap of first you need to pop off the orange tip with a screw driver be carefull with it once thats off there will be the orange plug thats threaded and glued in. in order to take this off use a hair dryer put it on high and put the hair dryer 15mins on each side of the gun to melt the glue. then take a wrench and slowly take it off
Its possible that they might have changed the way they install the orange tip on to the rifle. It might be screwed on yours and also glued from the inside. If thats the case, try to find a muzzle cap first if you decide to burn off the orange tip because it will not have one underneath.

It is GLUED ON! I used a plier to remove mines, and added a PSG-1 Dino flash hider. See my videos, and you will learn something!
