  • good work again thank you for sharing, have collected an oil cooler to do what you did.. my Triumph will appreciate the extra oil.

  • John i hapened to notice u smoke non-filtered cigarettes lol what kindbdo u smoke...if that was here it would have to be good ole' John Players!..the olny way to smoke one in a paper!

  • I have my oil cooler from the 80's in a box in the garage. You've reminded me to put it back on (extra oil). Nice job. You've got the upgrade pump which will help moving the oil. I'm still using the stock. I've just started my break-in (waited until weather cooled). Thanks for the help. Thanks for bringing me on the ride past Buttertubs. Scary bump there near the end but we held on like a champs! Cheers.

  • Nice vid John thanks for responding to my ? On the tires. I'll have to make some videos of my bike when I finsh the restoration on the engine

  • Another nice vid Lunmad, great views at the end -I like the cattle grid.

  • @markybyeah

    Cheers marky :-)

been messing with that MZ mainly,

not done much riding as it's done nowt but rain and blow a gale over here :-(

sort o depressin like, but the sun's out now, so I'm off to test for leaks!!

  • Nice job there John. hey ill bet you got a little inspired perhaps with the Metisse Triumphs at the scramble. can i count you in for the next Dakar 2012? ; )

  • @mac163

    Hi mac :-) thank you!

the scramble was a great weekend, as you say quite inspiring

as for the Dakar I better fit an air filter first, a really big one eh!

  • Hi J Nice neat installation If it doesn't cool with the airflow the extra quart or so of oil circulating around the motor will help keep the plot happy on longer runs. Are you finished running in the motor yet after the big rebuild? It sounded a bit like it on your short run. Cheers Mate Dave

  • @notwocdivad

Hi Dave :-) thanks! it sticks out a bit so I reckon it'll work and as you say the extra oil will help.

I have got about 400 mile on it upto now so 4000rpm is good for me,

I'll get another 2-300 mile on it this weekend if all goes well.

The ride bit at the end of vid was a bit of a run before! I did the rebuild, I just thought I would use up the time.

  • Great vid! when r u going to start that next project john!??

  • @bubster1981

    Hi bubster :-) cheers

I'm on with the MZ now and got a couple of hours to edit, I will post them as soon as they are done.

as for now the sun has come out :-O

    so I'm off camping!

  • Yet another great vid John!

I love the idea of the socket and extension bar in the vise to bend the pipes :)

Out of interest, do you know what bike the oil cooler came from?

    All the best

    Webby

  • @Webby968

    Hi Webby :-)

thanks, needs must the socket worked a treat,

the cooler came from the bottom of a large box, I will try find out what it was off and let you know

  • @lunmad

Great Vid again John - I would also be inetersted in fitting an oil cooler to m y T140E when you find out waht it came off of then please let me know .

Good luck with the MZ Cheers

  • Great vid once again..

How much more oil does it now hold? Any intention to weld fitings to your frame for it?

  • @sacheus

    Thanks sacheus :-)

fitting it has given me about an extra pint of oil,

no I will keep it clipped to the frame then it is all reversible.

  • i viewed your vid first John.been waiting for a new one !

  • @mrstupid

woo!hoo! thanks mrstupid so you're not really that daft then '-)

MZ and rides vids next I reckon
