  • @gamer7636 I don't remember. You can use Google to find the stuff pretty easily.

  • i thought it was a big box when i got mine

  • i think you one is fake it does not have code at the back

  • @lukuntri you obviously don't realize that this video was made 9 months ago and they were barely implementing the code then and most stores had older stock which didn't have the code on the back. Also, you fail to realize that fake cards are not compatible with AKAIO, as such this would not even be running in the video if it was fake. Please take note and do more research before commenting on whether or not something is fake, that goes for everyone.

  • @SMAAAASHTV sorry im not pro

  • @SMAAAASHTV Just wondering I've an Acekard 2i which runs perfect on my DSi XL (the big one) and it's running AKAIO 1.8.9, it's genuine, right?

  • @SMAAAASHTV Lol, I even took out the frontal sticker (Acekard 2i logo front sticker) and there's no window or opening, I just saw a circle-shaped chip like: O in the middle, it's not exposed or opened up cause I heard the fake one uses ACTEL chip w/ a square-shaped window.. I'm not so sure on the details or if I'm out of date though but yeah.

  • @defunct32 not sure exactly, I'm not an expert and don't have extensive experience with the AK2i as I explained I bought this for a friend who has a DSi. I'm pretty sure if you're using AKAIO it's genuine. Personally I use a DS Lite and an M3 DS Real as it serves it's purpose for what I need it for and it's being kept alive with updates from RetroGameFan's DSTT firmware.

  • @SMAAAASHTV No problem! I appreciate your reply. Thank you ; ) if only fakes and clones weren't floating around there wouldn't be so much uproar or issues, damn al l these rip-offs.

  • Can Acekard 2i run on the DS and the DS Lite?

  • @MutantCore yes

  • @MutantCore For Ds you would need Acekard 2 and for DSI or DS Lite you would need Acekard 2 i

  • @Berzella sorry but you're wrong. The original Acekard 2 works on both the DS and DS Lite, the Acekard 2i works on DS, DS Lite and DSi.

  • how many games fit on the 4gig card?

  • @Back0Down it depends on which games you put on it...games range anywhere from 8mb all the way up to 512mb. you could conceivably put around 500 games if they're all 8mb but you would only be able to fit around 7 or 8 games if they're all 512(which wont be the case) most of your average ds games range from 32mb to 128mb, with some of the larger RPG's coming in at 256mb. So on average you should be able to hold anywhere from 20 to 60 games on a single 4gb micro sd card.

  • @SMAAAASHTV wow, thats more than i thought. i still might get the 8gb

  • I've got a micro sd thingy from an r4 do i need to buy a different one?

  • @CobraBite101112 any micro sd card will do...unless you want a larger capacity or a higher speed micro sd you shouldn't need to buy a new one...the one you have now should work fine just remember to back everything up and reformat it before you put the acekard software on it.

  • @SMAAAASHTV Thanks, I want to get all the info I can before I get one.

  • @SMAAAASHTV Can you tell me what that USB is called where you can put a MicroSD card in it or can every USB do that?

  • @ArenaTrap yeah but not acekard. Only supercard ds two out Iplayer

  • @Hilokilo06 it may be true you cannot play gba roms on the acekard 2i alone but if you get a slot 2 device such as the EZ Flash 3in1 you can run GBA roms without using the horrible emulation used by the supercard dstwo. Having a normal flashcard and a slot 2 device will allow you to run GBA roms as if they were a real GBA game at full speed and without issues!

  • @ArenaTrap GBA slot bro

  • class 4 SD if not a best choice, many games runs laggy with it

  • @PriestRipper didn't say it was the best choice....it's just what the package came with when I bought it for my friend. Also it doesn't depend solely on card class as many people have complained about lag in certain class 6 cards as well....I personally have been using 2 class 6 Adata cards and a class 2 kingston card without any lag issues, though I have not tried some of the problem games, such as castlevania on the class 4(they work flawlessly on the class 6 Adata).

  • can u tell me what dsi fimrware ur running and if yur acekard crashes while playing games?

  • can you play online

  • How long did it take you to receive your Acekard after ordering it? I ordered mine the end of January and I'm still waiting for it :(

(I live in the U.S; California)

  • @Hernandezzy09 where did you order it from? I got mine from shoptemp[dot]com but they are no longer in business...but when I did order it took 11 days to get.

  • @SMAAAASHTV Ok thank you. I ordered mine from (what I presume to be) the main website, acekard(dot)net... Does that one take longer to ship?

  • @Hernandezzy09 uh there is no website called acekard[dot]net....there's acekard[dot]com which is the official site but they don't sell them there, they only have a list of resellers. I found one called acekard2[dot]net and if that's the site you ordered from it's not listed as a trusted seller from acekard so I don't know if they're even legit. I have a list of recommended sellers in the description box and I wouldn't recommend buying from any sites other than those as many can't be trusted.

  • @SMAAAASHTV Well on the checkout screen the domain protocol changes to the secured form. It also says "verified by equifax" if that means anything..

  • @SMAAAASHTV Also, did you happen to get a chance to look at the site? Just wondering if you think it looks legit at all. I've been getting email updates, and the last one, from Monday (3 days ago) says that it has been shipped out...

    Btw thanks for your help.

  • @Hernandezzy09 lol... Look at acekard (DOT) com it has it there.. if you got it from realhotstuff , it would be faster and easier. There is a 90% chance yours going to be fake.. or unless you already got it...

  • @AwesomeslayerG Yea that acekard2net was a total jip..I haven't got anything from them and they do not reply to emails. It's partly my fault for not doing proper research on this topic, but then again I am quite new to this sort of thing.

Luckily for me I did order from realhotstuff about a week ago, and I happily received my acekard like 3 days later. MUCH better service, like onethousandfold.

  • @Hernandezzy09 congrats dude :D i too ordered one mine is going to take a little longer because i used echeck and hopefully if gets cleared,,

  • @AwesomeslayerG Thanks man! Hope you get yours soon, realhotstuff is an exceptional and reliable service! :D

  • thanks bro

  • okay on the site it says pre-updated to 1.8.5 compatible so I am not too sure what that means

  • @NorCalWrestler I would think that means it's compatible with the current firmware which is akaio 1.8.5 but that doesn't really tell you if it's flashed to work with the DSi already. The only way to find out is to try it when you receive it I guess.

  • @SMAAAASHTV Is your acekard 2i fake? because it does not have the arc in the corner of the card as shown on the website. They said fake cards dont have an arc they only have a smooth line

  • @playboi182 I believe that's only on the new revisions. I bought the card from shoptemp(dot)com and they only sold real cards and no fakes. The card works with the official firmware and akaio which doesn't work on clone cards. But like I said in the video I got it for a friend therefor I have no way of actually checking out any physical aspect of the card now.

  • I just ordered an Acekard 2i from gameplayfun and was wondering if they already come compatible with the 1.4.1 firmware or if I have to upgrade it myself?

  • @NorCalWrestler Unless is specifically stated that it comes preflashed you will have to flash it yourself.

  • @acekardusa cool man, gameplayfun is on of my recommended sites to buy from!

  • So, I bought my DSi 2009. I updated it a year ago. I used the R4i. So now my R4i doesn't work. My DSi updated to a 1.4U. Does this mean I have to purchase an Acekard in order for me to be able to play games again? Is there a specific card I have to buy for a 1.4U?

  • @alexaisumm it depends on which version of r4i you have...it's kinda hard to tell with so many different r4 clones out there. Most of them should be compatible with the latest firmware as long as you flash them with the newest firmware upgrader.

  • @SMAAAASHTV Hmm. Well I had the R4i Revelution for DSi ( NDSI/NDSL/NDS). Can I buy an Acekard 2i or should I buy another R4i?

How do you flash them? Do you buy if pre flashed? or do you flash it yourself?

  • @alexaisumm you download the flash update file and put it on the micro sd card....then run the card in either a DSi version 1.3 or an original DS or DS Lite and pick the update file....it will then flash the card so it's playable on the DSi 1.4.1 firmware. You don't need to buy another card just flash the one you have, if you need help doing that I'm sure there are videos all over youtube showing how.

  • @SMAAAASHTV So your saying I can still use the R4i I have, I just need to flash that?

Right now it it doesn't work it says something like 'An error has occured. Press and hold the POWER button to turn the system off. Please refer to the Nintendo Dsi Operations Manual for details'.

  • @alexaisumm it depends on the version of the card you have....what website is printed on the card? There are about 10 different cards that go under the r4i name, is yours and R4i, R4i-SDHC, R4i Ultra, R4i Gold, R4i RTS, R4i Platinum or some other rendition? A few of those can be upgraded others cannot.

  • What is an SD formatter? Why do you have to do it?

  • Alright guys apparently shoptemp has had to stop selling flashcards at the moment so I put a list of resellers in the description...you can order from which ever shop you like but the suggested shops are first on the list.

  • @SMAAAASHTV realhotstuff says that the acekard 2i comes pre flashed, is this true?

  • @RedTeamSniper If they say it comes pre flashed then if you buy from them it will come pre flashed. Most places charge extra to pre flash the card if they do it at all.

  • @SMAAAASHTV I bought it from realhotstuff and it was preflashed :D even had free shipping that came to oregon from new jersey in 3 days :D

  • @everalf1995 first off, please do not advertise on the comments....secondly I have never even heard of that shop and 3rd, shoptemp is about the same price and the microsd cards do not cost $20...if you paid $20 for a microsd card that wasn't 8gb or larger, you got ripped off.

  • Do you have to format it that way or can I just do it through my computer and format the card through there. If so where can I get that HD formatter that you were talking about. Thanks

  • @snick3r58 you are supposed to format the card before you use it, you can either use the panasonic sd formatter of the format utility I used, which I got from the Acekard 2i setup guide on gbatemp. The link to the one I used is here: sdcard.org/consumers/formatter/sdfv2000.zip

  • where did you buy it from? what website?

  • @BurnTheCows shoptemp(dot)com, they are the official partner shop of gbatemp(dot)net

  • @SMAAAASHTV how long does it take to order

  • @BurnTheCows it only takes a few minutes to order....if you mean how long does it take to get it in the mail, it varies depending on the shipping method you choose. If you choose free shipping it could take anywhere from 1 to 5 weeks. Mine arrived 11 days from the date I ordered it, so that's less than 2 weeks.

  • @SMAAAASHTV i live in ontario canada

  • where it says no need to flash it means no need to flash ds games just to work on the ak

  • @ImtooGeekedup that's misleading, it should say no need to patch, because the general term is to patch a game, not flash it.
