I used to watch the early show and once a week they would have movies like this one, The Deadly Mantis, The Mole People, The Back Scorpion, Them, and a few others. Great stuff.
Think about it for a second...an unknown source of mineral power that grows beyond it's own capability to hold itself upright, crashes down to wherever it stops and continues on it's path. It is unwittingly growing and destroying everything in it's wake, non intelligent life that has no conscience or apathy. It doesn’t know right from wrong or why it's even here. The characters are fighting for their very lives and trying to find a way to stop this monolith from moving even further. Too cool...
there was a movie similar to this but in color that involved a translucent blue rock material that reacted to water, I really need to find this movie title, anyone know of it?
