@MegaBomb66 No. On some of the episodes, its revealed that the person went away voluntarily. And sometimes they have interviews at the very end with the person that 'Disappeared'.
I'm sorry but if someone told me "don't do anything stupid" while in a van being held up...that's probably the first thing I would do. Something stupid. Like crashing the car violently into something, I'd rather die by doing something like that than letting someone else take my life violently..
@owainmeurig well typically when someone jumps in your car with a gun and says don't do anything stupid their intentions are likely to kill you. Or rape and then kill you.
@wyesdnil No typically if someone pulls a gun they are going to rob you or make you drive them somewhere, it's very rare for someone to kidnap and then kill, it's safer doing what an armed person tells you to do.
I wonder if the guy who kidnapped Angela Hammond (who's story is on Unsolved Mysteries) also kidnapped these three. It was around the same time and women were disappearing in the Missouri area.
Dang, they tampered with the evidence!!
They need to dig up the garage. I'm dying to know what is under there.
This is about the 4th episode of Disappeared that I've seen. I have to say that these stories are scary and very very SAD. It's also creepy to know that SO many people disappear forever.Adults and children. : (
I have never been more heated watching this episode than I have watching any other Disappeared episode. First off I'm pissed I'm left on a cliffhanger, but I'm more pissed at the fact that this Cox asshole is toying with people in this investigation. Imagine if this prick was executed. These ladies would still be alive. Both him and his STUPID LYING ASS girlfriend need to burn for their murders. Recanters need to burn right with the murderers. I cannot BELIEVE THIS!!!!
I just looked up Stacy and Suzanne in my yearbook. I remember them both in school. We had those posters in the window of our car. Still hard to believe.
At 42:32 when she says she realized her daughter has been gone longer than she had her, it just breaks my heart. I really pray if and hopefully when they did up the parking garage they find the 3. How much longer can those families go on not knowing?
This episode gives me such a creepy feeling when I see all of their belongings like the makeup items in the bathroom, knowing that they just vanished. It makes my imagination go wild to think what happened that night.
If it turns out their bodies are not under that garage, police should re-focus their efforts back on Suzie's 2 male friends. Anyone sick enough to grave rob wouldn't hesitate to murder. it may seem trivial now, but the one boy didn't want her testifying, had hatred for them & would have known about their last minute change of sleeping plans, unlike a stranger. That should be cause for alarm. Robert Cox just seems like a psycho reveling in the attention cops were giving him.
It's now been 10 1/2 months since Springfield police were interviewed on 12/1/10. Why hasn't that parking garage been checked yet?? Are they afraid of being ridiculed for sitting on that tip and doing nothing all these years? Please, everyone who sees these comments, contact Springfield PD and ask them WHAT they're waiting for. These families have been waiting on answers for nearly 2 decades. I would be on the phone every single day if it was my loved ones missing!
These people say how important it is to find these women but not more important than disturbing a little concrete. I'd get a damn jack hammer and dig up that concrete myself. Why is concrete more sacred than three bodies?
The stories are compelling, but the show is too repetitive. They could give the same information in half the time. It's as if the producers think that Americans all suffer from ADHD and Alzheimer's. Come to think of it, maybe we do.
@judy4justice As far as I know, only 2 were solved since their airing. One is 'The Long Drive Home' where the lady that disappeared on a trip and her car was found, she had just run away across the US to escape her life and was found in Oakland. Then there's a few cases where it was solved within the episode but it's rare. What I love about Disappeared is even when there's only 10 minutes left, the case can take a dramatic turn.. the episodes are jam-packed with information and don't waste time.

I wonder if they considered Gerald Carnahan, a Springfield
resident who kidnapped, raped, and murdered Jackie Johns
in 1985. He was a "person of interest" in 1985, but wasn't arrested
until 2007 based on DNA evidence.
