@primativemodelling This is also a subject you need to study a bit. I don't understand half of what that app does, and I have a degree in physics......
That's a really cool gadget G! Looking forward to your 555 tutorial. I just picked one up and plan to use it for the bridge strobe on my 1/350 refit but I don't know how!! Also I bought a party pac of capacitors. Teach on professor!!
@MrFumblethumbs I will get to it in the next two weeks. I lost some of the research I had done on the chip and I have to find it again, This is the hardest of the videos, so I saved it for last.
Oh! The frequency!!! Now I get it! Thanks for showing this off better, Grendels. That 555 calculator is cooler than I guessed it could be. I wish that was available for other cmos timers. You probably saw at the bottom of the chip db page is a master list option. Don't have my phone in front of me right now. Look forward to more! I've got some imminent, first-time chip work coming up!
@ModelManTom Looking forward to that chip work. Yes a blink rate calculator would be nice for the Cmos chips. Right now I just use a rheostat to figure out the blink rate on it.
I will use the calculator when I get to the 555 chip video. I am going to show that it works as advertised.
ha ha ha John, This vid made me feel very stupid,i watched it all and only had a vague idea of what you were talkin about..i am seriously thick : D
