  • i love it when he goes high :)

  • hot damn! i never knew they had a music vid for this song!

  • I'm currently watching the Colors DVD and realized I'd never seen the video for this song. Not that that matters. I like to refer to this as Pre-Dream Team BtBam, AKA, Pre-tBam.

  • damn this is rare

  • dont really like this band but this along with another hand full of their songs are amazingly composed

  • YEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!

  • I miss when Paul used the Ibanez S series guitars... PRS are cool and all but I prefer Ibanez!

  • this bassist is crap compared to Briggsilicious

  • mmm, i love me some stock footage xD

    i kid, nice video

  • best btbam song ever. i loved this song six years ago!

  • i noticed that this and mordecai both have videos were just show different sights and views from our cities, are they trying to deliver a message or a meaning to there video and or songs???

  • yup- the message being "fuck the bullshit"

    i believe

  • the great misdirect and colors are there best two almbums, follwed close by alaska, then silent circus then selftitled

  • Silent Circus best hands down.

  • Colors hands down.

  • Silent Circus followed by a tie between Colors and the Self Titled.

  • I think its Colors, The Great Misdirect, The Silent Circus, Alaska, BTBAM. I felt like Alaska had its moment (Alaska, Selkies, All Bodies, Backwards Marathon), but besides that it was kinda weak. I'm really not too big a fan of the first cd besides this and shevanel and arsonist.

  • this band has gone through so many changes it is so hard to figure out all there information. hey kinda like Norma Jean(the band)

  • and i personally really like their guitar sound on the latest cds because they r clear and they r more varied, but the self titled sound is good too

  • frickin awesome song

  • Tommy's singing is a lot better in the live dvd

  • I hope they remaster the old cd's because the guitars sound like shit. (the way it's mixed)

  • I think they sound fucking awesome, raw and direct from the mesa boogie amp. I think the first two albums have the best sounding guitars.

  • I agree. And they are the best CDs. Sure Colors is phenomenal, and destroys their 1st albums in terms of technicality and all that jazz, but S/T and Silent Circus are still better. They are just perfect.

  • Agreed, I saw them perform material from The Silent Circus in a REALLY small house in Richmond for the first time before anyone had even heard the material. It was the best show I had ever been to, it was incredible. If they performed newer material there I would have still be blown away, but The Silent Circus material hit me hard. Imagine hearing Aesthetic for the first time ever, LIVE in a small ass room, so powerful.

  • colors shits all over the old stuff. it's like apples and oranges. they're both tasty. but sometimes you want one and not the other! haha

  • Personally, I thought the Self Titled could have used more clean vocals, but overall, I loved it.

I think Alaska is my least favorite album, but Backwards Marathon is my 2nd favorite song ever, 2nd favorite BTBAM song as well, nothing will ever beat Mordecai

  • ohhh mordecai.

  • XD... mmmm tasty

  • exactly.

  • @yjmfan101 That is false

  • wow, havn't listened to this in years. tommys voice has truly progressed

  • that's exactly what I was thinking.

  • @acoustidelic That is also false, his voice has always been amazing

  • haha compare how paul looks on stage to now...

  • What is the high pitched vocalist saying from 2:55 to 3:07 ?

  • its Tommy Rogers, the singer.

  • Yes, thank you; but what is he saying?

  • Something about decay and neglect..its hard to make out the words.

  • Actually, in the original recording, it's the drummer.

  • wrong, its Will Goodyear the drummer at the time doing the clean high pitched vocals.

  • haha yeah I've realized that now, thanks man.

  • I've always wanted to know this. I can't figure it out. I know it's about decay and neglect, but that's it.

  • Sweet dreams fall from reach here;

fade from existence - fade from sight.

They merge with the black in decay and neglect.

  • That's not Blake Richardson. Where is he?

  • Blake wasn't in the band at the time.

  • Blake OWNES and so does old btbam so, btbam just ownes in general

  • neither was dusty

  • dusty has a twin brother. they used to play in the glass casket

  • oops! I meant "wasn't overrun", anyways, you get the idea. The good days, Prayer for Cleansing, BTBAM, Undying, Beloved, Glass Casket, Quell, Azazel, Aria, Rapture Cabaret, etc! Shows just suck now...

  • This takes me back to when BTBAM ruled the state of NC, when the scene was overun with fags, and you saw some of the best interactions between the bands and their fans. It was a time when NC was on top of the metal game! Miss going to Prayer for Cleansing shows as well!

  • Frigging amazing song BTBAM are geting on top of my best band list!

  • yea i used to hate them, now btbam is my 2nd fav band

  • from 1:05-1:31 is my fav part...those time sig changes are gnarly fo sho!!! and brutal :D I love this band...this song owns tho :D

  • my favorite song by them as well... tahts 80 shit = the best

  • My favorite self titled song

  • this is my favorite song by them

i also love prequal to the sequal and informal gluttony and selkies and alaska and mordecai and white walls and ants of the sky and the decade of statues and all bodies and fire for a dry mouth and arsonist btbam my favorite band

  • yeah! without question - they absolutely fsckin ROCK!!!

  • just saw them live for the DVD recording. Trust me it is all Tommy... he is ridiculous

  • i agree that he is ridiculous, but it's not all tommy, he's gotten a lot better as a singer and screamer but the band alltogether has grown so much, and they all contribute to the music to make unforgettable masterpieces.

  • who is singing at 4:14-4:52? I don't think that's tommy's voice. I think he came w/ singing at 2:55-3:05

  • Will Goodyear, the drummer, did the clean vocals for the Self-Titled. Tommy did a little live, but didn't really take over the duties for the clean vocals until Will left before The Silent Circus.

  • Originally it was the drummer for the band at the time who sang the high part.

    Now it is tommy! :)

  • I started with Colors then worked my way back. I like Alaska and Colors the best but all 4 are incredible. To me their older stuff sounds like it was influenced a lot more by other hardcore bands and with each successive album they developed their own sound. Blake, Dusty, and Dan all seemed to bring more balance in technicality to the group.

  • fuckin ace

  • damn this is old!!

  • I love it around the 2:45 mark when he starts going into Bruce Dickinson range.

  • the surroundings

    here are sparse and DESOLATE

    life here is grief

dun dun dunnadadun da da da da du da dun dundundundadadun

Tommy's growls i like much better, nd the music enspires me more than some of their newer stuff.

  • my favorite song by them

    fucking sick

  • fucking. great. song.

  • i think they should redo this album with dusty, dan and blake on it. that would be sweet

  • That would kind of be disrespectful in a way.

  • i loved this bands first two cds. alaska was decent but it just wasnt the same after the first two. they lost what was amazing about them. there new shit is boring. and for some reason i get this feeling that tommy rogers is gay. but thats just me.

  • I fully agree! ..except the Tommy detail. Though I like his growls much more on the first two albums aswell.

  • I understand what both of you mean. Except I thought Alaska was still really good, not just decent. Their new album was interesting for like the first week...then it just got repetitive. Yes the guitar was really technical, but I like the old feel better.

  • tommy rogers cooollll!!!

  • these guys ruled when i say them last weekend

tommys way down to earth and a much better vocalist now than in this video lol

  • colors is sick!!

  • Yeah, Colors is awesome. It's beyond awesome, you can't even describe it. My friends went to their concert and now I'm obsessed with their album they brought back.

  • i went to btbam about a month ago, and it was one of the best shows ive been to, topped only by the immortal OPETH, but as far as stage presence goes, tommy is an amazing frontmen and everyone in the band is extremely talented...any doubters should go to a show themselves

  • this is my favorite Btbam Song and its on my Favorite Btbam Album =]

  • eveyrone liked kiss cause they blew fire and fucked everyone ahaha

  • and now im gonna get fuckin bitched at...

  • I wouldnt call it bitching, but steve vai doesnt jump around and screw up every note, but his stage presensce and shows are much more fun and technical then what i've seen BTBAM do. Amon Amarth know how to get the crowd going, and yet, no screw ups, and even if they do screw up once or twice, its live, theyre not expected to be perfect, thats what makes the whole experence.

  • Jackson just proved my point, KISS werent that great of a band music wise, sure they had a few a few hits, but it was there live show that made them big, their stage presence made them what they are today

  • thats true but i like btbam.....they NEVER mess up hahaha. i'd rather see perfection.

  • why would yo usee them live 12 times, they have the most boring stage prescence i have ever seen

and i dont know why they do the chugging tremelo heavy stuff, the melodic stuff is way better, i want to hear the melodic stuff, but i hate having to listen to the stuff before it, or having to constantly fastforward, sure its technical, but who cares if it sounds like generic crap

  • KISS had a good stage show, but they sucked. and the old btbam was good, but not nearly AS good as the newer stuff. they are indeed a band that gets better every album.

  • Kinda like thrice, and honestly Demon Hunter.

    heh

    Btbam is sick

  • the person saw them 12 times because they like them, not to go see them jump around and fuck up every second note they play

  • which is what you basically just said about yourseelf, that you go see bands cause they are crazy live

  • you are missing out on a lot of the songs then. those parts are just as elegant and well structured as the other parts, like i tell my friends, they put you through hell to bring you into heaven, and so god damn well, so seamless. just listen to them longer and youll grow to love it

  • i understand that, but the band death did that too, they had dissonant riffs followed by beautiful melodies and vice versa, but with BTBAM its just so much of the same thing in between

  • but i will listen to them more and try and get them to grow on me lol

  • I've been looking for this album since I found out that The Silent Circus wasn't their first and I haven't heard anything off of it untill just now, and now I really really need this album!!!

  • dude you are fucking missing out then i feel really.....really sorry for you. when you do get it listen to fire for a dry mouth put some head phones on and blast it from 4:50 seconds...listen to the guitars and bass.....its so beautiful. or listen starting from 4:00 and be shocked on how it fucking gets to that...just brutally beautiful

  • ...or just listen to the whole cd? its really incredible, almost the best one they have, cuz colors is out of this world

  • played with these dudes when i was in winter solstice. these guys are probably one of the most amazing bands ever.

  • saw them 12 time lives , INCREDIBLE

  • These guys are AWESOME!! Their sound is unlike any other metal band out there. This band borders of genius

  • i guess its hatecore not metal

  • lol bicycle race is awsome!

  • much better than many of the hardcore bands out there, this is great

  • omfg this is such a good song. i LOVE btbam to death

  • I saw the at the radio rebellion tour they are freakin amazing live.

  • my favorite song

    amazing

    i love this band

  • amazing.

  • has anyone heard there newest album with the queen, metallica, blind melon and many more! covers have never sounded so fucking amazing! seen them 5 times so far and it never gets old, and dont believe they ever will.

  • i like bicycle race

  • omg, wtf, this song is good. First time I've heard it. I'm guessing it's off their self-titled album which have it I don't. Anybody have it? Say where you got it. I think I'll try Amazon.

  • yeah try amazon but it should be at any music wherhouse

  • BTBAM is crazy beast this song is one of my faverits

  • excellent

  • haha my bad this is their music video no wonder it sounds so good!

  • Nice save, you were about to be flamed to death for being a dumbass, haha

  • Amazing performance. btbam sounds almost exactly like their album when they're live.

  • This band is so amazing it is not even funny! Every CD they have ddone is nearly flawless. You are not going to find a band like this any were else.

  • awesome song!

  • Never knew they had a video for this song.

    Sweet.

  • you had to buy the old cd to play the video

  • excelente video..!! BTBAM rocks!
