@leverwork1 first of all, he was 30 secondly, he played some of the greatest matches, IN HISTORY beating courier from 2 sets down in 95 AO (while his coach battled against cancer) and that match against Corretja when he was throwing up ON THE COURT.

Really, you should study your history before showing your hilarious bias against Pete Sampras. After all, he won 14 and you have ZERO. I repeat, ZZZEEERRROOO!!!

Sampras was as a great player, but history will show how he came along at time when the competition was much lacking in skill one all the surfaces.

(10 and counting) FYI, when Pete came out, you got Lendl, Becker, Edberg, Chang, Courier, Agassi and some aging legends like Johnny Mac and Connors.Do you call that gimmick?
