  • I loved the "tadaa!"s at the end XD

  • whoops, i meant SilentWhisperer64 forgot the t!!!! -///-"

  • @SilenWhisperer64 u can, but it would be harder if ur on a time schedule but easier with when u need a curved area to be perfect. nice tutorial! love ur reference!!!!!! POKÉMON!!!!!!!! haha XD

  • You're adorable.And you have excellent tutorials!

  • cant i sew it with my hand since i dont have a sewing machine? or is it hard to? :O

  • how many yards of fabric do you need for the blue fabric??

  • Also, what kind of fabric would you suggest?

  • @Chellips Polyester or cotton. Something easy to work with

  • Could I just buy a v-neck white top and make the collar and sew it on to it?

  • When you sew the red things on to the blue collar, how do you keep the stitches from showing up? Do you use the same color of thread?

  • @AniMeg4321 yeap! sew neatly

  • @elpheal Thank you! ^^

  • Kawaii

  • can you also make this with a shirt instead of a blouse? FIY i love your vids

  • Could you make a video of you doing the actual thing? This one is kind of confusing to me, I'm just new that's all :3

  • This would be a lot easier to understand if there was no music playing in the background

  • around 5:54, why have you to add the extra piece?

  • @SarsIncorporated

it's there so make it look more neater (?)

  • I love goong. :D

  • Sadly, I'm too old to be cosplaying, or I'd try my hand at a male student's uniform! =D

  • @pheenix42 You're NEVER too old to cosplay!

  • I'm making a Super Sailor Mars Fuku. I was wondering how you make their sleeves poofy? I've been trying to figure it out without any luck.

  • @KyeAdron If you look at her costume you can see she doesn't have poofy sleeves but it still looks great. But if you still want poofy sleeves, sorry I don't know how to make them. I would guess that you would bunch up pieces of the sleeves as you sew on the blue and red thing. I can't be sure though. If I find out I'll get the info to you. ^^

  • Like DeadFeesh24, I would also like a link to making a blouse. Please? :D

  • How Much Bigger Than Your Head?

  • Are you supposed to stick the collar into your blouse or are you supposed to sew it on, and if you have to stick it in, how?

  • How do you make a blouse? Do you have a link?

  • Whats the song you used?

  • when you say, cut out about half an inch more, do you mean on all sides?

  • Wait aren't you a Singaporean...

  • It's not suppose to be like a shirt it's like a ballet shirt (liotux)

  • this is REALLY helpful just watching! thank you so much for this!

  • do, u put on the byier's 1st and then sew theme together , and if the tip's from the top of the fuku aren't pionted can u just iron it ?

  • so when u add the 2 caps together and then u add the byer's right , just making sure i'm getting it right ,

  • how much bigger of your head circumfrence should it be?

  • @yoruikuto Just a few inch more. depending on how comfortable you are with the 'enlarged circumference'

  • i'm making a kogome cosplay , for the ribbon part do u sew underneth the sailor cap part?

  • @98fandublover yes, as another attachment

  • do u make the t shirt fisrt and then add the flate fabric instead and sew and then add the cap?

  • @98fandublover flat fabric? well, yes, you make the shirt first then add the sailor collar

  • i found a sailor's pattern for my cosplay :) so happy ! , just need to fix 2 thing's for the top

  • Kawaiii!!!

  • congratulation! this is very awesome ;)

  • omg thank you soo much for this video

  • I bought a sailor fuku from japan and i had told the lady that was taking my order I was american... she sent me a large and it was HUGE. :[ Id take it to a talior to make it fit me but im afraid theyd mess it up... so mission to make my own!!!

I have a question on the one i bought , the white collar that attaches to the sailor collar is actually sewed thickly together....

is that what you are doing basically?

  • @yulxlover4 Hmm I'm afraid I can't understand how your sailor collar is constructed just via text explanation ;/

  • @elpheal hmm... its kind of difficult to explain , ( i thought i got across clearly but i guess not >_<) the white collar piece that is sewn, is it attached to the sailor collar flap? (the blue collar)

  • @yulxlover4

Hmmmm if you meant the 'white U shaped collar piece' then yes, it is attached to the blue collar. but they are 2 individual pieces by itself and only sewed at the end........... oh no...I hope i'm making sense

  • @yulxlover4 LOL That's so racist she thought cause you're american your fat

  • @animatemaster yeah its funny cuz im the same race she is.. just different country. im far from fat :[

  • you made this really cute :3

  • Awe, if I found this video before, it would have brought down the cost of my Haruhi cosplay. Awesome tutorial, by the way ^_^

  • how much fabric is needed?

  • Ah~ I need this for my /cheap/ Sakura cosplay from Street Fighter ><

But because I fail at sewing :/ Any tips? D:

  • so cute and helpful~ love the drawings~

  • i was wondering if you have to sew on the white flap, or is that optional?

  • @ddhdyfhrfhu its kinda optional.but it definitely makes for better presentation

  • Wow! Thanks so much! I needed to find a tutorial for a sailor fuku collar for a Rin kagamine cosplay project. This will work perfectly♥!

  • WOW! Thank you so much!! ^___^

This is very helpful! I've been looking for tutorials for a sailor fuku collar but have been unsuccessful till now!!!! I can't thank you enough for taking the time to make this video!!!

    THANK YOU!

  • thank you so much ive been wondering how to make the flap part of the uniform this explains a lot, thank you so much!

  • Wnat a bias? 4:40

  • It looks so hard to do!

  • Umm i need help making a blouse for the fuku? and i need help

  • Lol, I like how you didn't have any space to put the sewing machine so you drew a picture of it and put it under tools xD

  • what materials should be used?

  • I actually lolled when you said "Looks like a pikachu's head"

  • can u show us how to make a miko outfit??? like the pants hakama. and the top

  • thank you. it was very helpful. MUCH APPRECIATED!!!

  • err.. i am confused about the U-thingy .. how to apply the design on them like light blue with m and white line on it...

  • @xkenchix121 You have to make a bias strip first like the one one the sailor colar. Hope this helps.

  • @Chiixx98 weeeeeeeeeeell... i haven't tried yet (no materials...) but im guessing instead of a v-neck tee-shirt, we could use the v-neck spaghetti straps (the thick- strap kind). i, uh, guess? imma make it soon, once dad brings me out to get materials.

  • wait, i don't get the flap part..like you used the white paper on the collar and i got lost after that...

  • @KaimanaHaru0 The white flap goes over to where the body is. Its inside the shirt. Scroll down to read the other comments. Some users have already asked the same qs

  • @elpheal

I was going to ask exactly the same question, but this answer explains it all perfectly. Thank you for the tutorial, I'll make good use for it! =D

  • I love your accent! ^///^ it sounds cute, but then like my mom. O-o

  • OMG I LOVE U very good tutorial!

  • thanks so much! It turned out sooooo gooood!

  • thanks so much! It turned out sooooo gooood!

  • where you buy your sewing machine?

    lol just jk.

    nice vid

  • At first I didn't get around 6:10 but then I was like "oh you put the white flap on the inside where your body would go. That makes sense" But what about the bottom of the sleeves? Where the red and blue is.

  • @cccc010 I didn't cover that portion (sleeves) as it is pretty easy to figure out without any tutorial

  • hey, is the two colar lenght supposed to be in a straight line? n how to get the measurement for the semi-circle? by the way, thanks for the tutorial~

  • @puppy4me07 Are you talking about the 2 collar length at 2:59? If so yeah, those have to be a straight line.

The semi circle on the final spread out collar is supposed to be a little bigger than 1/2 your neck circumference. I guess you can figure things out from there =)

  • NICE HANDWRITING! :)

  • ah.. thanks for the help... but... if i wanted to use this for my Rin Kagamine cosplay.. would that be okay? :)

  • @DanChunSeahz18 yea...they are essentially the same

  • Thanks for the tutorial! I'm cosplaying Len Kagamine and this helped...now I need to find someone with a sewing machine >___>;

  • Stupid me..... I've watched your video several times and read all the comments but...

I still don't understand the U thing you sew around the collar.....If it's not to much trouble, could you tell me, in very plain terms, exactly where I sew it (and how the shirt is involved) and what you mean by tucking it into the shirt......

Thank You so much ^.^ I loved your video!!!

  • @inuneechan1 The U thing is actually just another fabric to help seal the ugly edges that is formed from the edges of the shirt + collar.

  • This helped me alot (Well... my mum anyway XD) I'm cosplaying as Yuki Nagato and this is what i needed, now i just need a wig and glasses... Thx a lot!

  • what about the ends of the sleeve? Aren't we supposed to do that too?

  • is there anything about cosplaying u dont know?! you rock! \(^.^)/

  • Wow this is so ridiculously helpful. Thank you so much!

  • Hey, I really love this tutorial, but I am so confused right now! @~@ It's not the explanation, I understand that very well, but...well, I'm sorry, but in some parts I'm unable to understand your accent. Mostly, I know what you're trying to say, but it's just this one word that I need to figure out. In the beginning, when you are listing tools and materials, what are the red and white thingys used for the line on the collar called? Sorry if that was offensive, but it's just that one word! >~<

  • @luvulotz24 No worries babe, its a 'bias tape'. try googling it for pics =)

  • @elpheal Ahh okay thank you. ^^ I THOUGHT I heard something with the word bias, but I wasnt sure. xD Again, thankies~

  • @elpheal I'm very confused right now. Its not your accent, its the fact that your using paper. . . e.e

Its confusing. And maybe for the users that can't understand, you can use annotations.

  • @tweety9102 if I can get someone else to help me with the annotation, I would gladly do so. But for now...I have other projects to focus on

  • @elpheal When you say help, do you mean do it for you, or tell you how to do it?

  • I think you should have put subtitles on the video for people that can't understand your accent well. I had no problem because my mom has a pretty thick accent so maybe that's why. I don't know if I'm going to make my whole uniform from scrap or if I'm going to make it at all but I've been looking around for a tutorial so atleast I have one if I decide to make it myself.

  • excelent video <3

  • Where are you from ? what accent is that ? it's cute <3

  • @zegobou Singapore =)

  • Ohh!! This is the best haruhi tutorial ever!! :3 Thanks a bunches!! :3

  • Die Knöpfe sind Made in Germandy, whuu! \^_^/ XDD

    Awesome Tutorial c:

  • im kinnda confused but thx :D

  • What kind of fabric would be best for the collar and the shirt?

  • @MusicFeedsYourSoul Depending on your prefeance, cotton or polyvester cotton would be good.

  • your voice is so cute

i enjoyed this thank you very much ^.^

  • Thank you so much for this! I''ve been subscribed to you a while and i'm currently making a Highschool of the dead uniform this comes in really useful!

  • Hey does anyone know a good cosplay 12 year old like me can dress in? :3 And yes I know how to sew, i do make outfits lol o-o i plan on going to a con and most of cosplay outfits look goood on older and taller ppl I'm 5 feet. i dont know what i should make for the con . T^T someone help me plz? P.S. elpheal is freaking awesome, i love her vids! <3 thank you elpheal ypu help me alot with ur vids, :)

  • @pandz2

    Hey, don't worry, I'm 5 feet too and I'm 15! xD.

  • is it posiable to buy a white shirt and justmake the collar and sew it on?

  • @sailorstarprincess Yeah it is, I've done that a few times^^ Its much easier =)

  • When you cut the sailor fuku, how do you get the edges and sides to be clean and not have little pieces of string sticking out?

  • @pinay0201 You have to cut 2 identical piece of the collar, then sew the edged and fold them inside out so those frays (little pieces of string) will be sealed inside =). It is mentioned in the video

  • Thank you!!! I will try this out :) your drawing and lecture was cute :)

  • @blackinish Thank u ^^

  • Ahh, you really saved me for figuring out my collar!! Thanks so much-such a cute tutorial! :3
