I am one of her students currently and just found out about this videa and that she was on this show. She has come even farther than anyone can imagine and I cannot belive that the Drama teacher I know had a point where she looked like this. Going for a PhD is not a selfless act, and to work at one when there's triplets? It takes alot of time and money to work on a PhD, and anyone who works on one is already putting time and money on themselves. Someone is falling through the cracks and it doesn't sound like it's her. Sounds like job first, then PhD, then kids, then husband.

@djay919 Her husband described her as a "selfless" person, putting others' needs before her own. I imagine he probably knows her best.

Also, she states that her PhD program is in Education, with the goal of being a college professor. She will be educating future teachers, helping them to shape their understanding of the value of their vocation. She likely has a gift and passion for teaching and is intent on doing her best to influence future teachers for the better.

@djay919 Many Master's & PhD students' work is funded via grants, scholarships, and work-study arrangements. That is, the student may pay *nothing* out of pocket. This could very well be the case with Kimberly.
