  • @1love2008falife Thank you! I have many playlists that categorize videos posted on my main channel tjw1963

  • Your tutorials are AWESOME... What I need is how you control the yarn in your left hand. In other words, can you show how you wrapt the yarn around your fingers, because you hold on to the project with your thumb and index finger and use the next finger to advance the yarn. My way of holding the yarn controls it with my indext finger continually moving and your way seems much more efficient.

  • @crochet49 I do have a couple of videos showing tension control. I will send you the link.

  • Im hoping to have ago at this 2moro, i brought a book but am none the wiser...lol

  • Thank you Thank you Thank you for this wonderful well done video with great instruction. I WISH I had found your video a long time ago.

    Please keep posting videos!

    Peace

  • I appreciate the comment, thank you.

  • I didn't find this video when I first started crochet. It would've saved me a lot of trial and error. I have used your videos to learn everything I know about crochet. I am going to favorite this video to show my niece and step-daughter in law who want me to show them to crochet as an essential part of the process of learning! Thank you again and again for making these wonderful, informative videos, Teresa.

  • I appreciate the comment, thank you.

  • Really nicely done. These are the kinds of things that you can't learn from a book. For lots of folks, crochet is someting we learned a little as kids and then return to as adults. We have some physical memory of it, but we overthink the details. A video like this cuts stright to the issues.

    THanks.

  • Thank you for your comment. This is exactly why I make the crochet videos. I think back to the years that I was deciphering patterns from written instructions. Many time I just guessed at what they meant. Sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't. It was very frustrating at times.

  • Your AWesome Teresa. You're tutuorials have taught me every thing I know about crocheting. I always wanted to learn. I just want you to know that it's helped me in so many ways. Thank you. :)

  • I appreciate the comment, thank you. Happy crocheting.

  • Thanks so much, its so much helpful !

  • You are welcome.

  • I want to thank you for your video posts. My mother only taught me to single crochet and unfortunately died last year of cancer, thank you for finishing what she started, it means so much to me.

  • You are welcome. I am sorry to hear about your mom and hope you are doing well.

  • Thank you so much for taking so much of your time in doing these videos! It's infinitely helpful for us beginners who could not understand all the terminologies before now. Thanks again!

  • You are welcome. :)

  • im just learning to crochet and after watching dozens of videos i have to say that this is 100% the single best video for learners on youtube. the close ups, slow speed and thorough but simple explanations are fantastic and im definitely subscribing to you :)

  • Thank you very much, I appreciate your comment and subscribing to my channel.

  • I haven't even watched it all yet, and I'm so grateful I finally found a video slow pace enough and close up enough to actually get it!! As soon I get the hang of these moves, I'll definitely check out your other vids :) :) :)

  • Thank you. :)

  • thank you!

  • I'm trying to learn how to read patterns and I'm currently stuck on my 7th round. If somebody can help, I'd be most appreciative: Sl st in first ch-1 sp. Ch 4 (counts as dc and ch 1). *1 dc in next ch-1 sp. Ch 1. Rep from * around. Join with sl st to top of ch 3. I understand what the abbreviations are. My problem is that I don't understand what I'm supposed to do. :(

  • You will slip stitch in the first chain 1 space. Then do 1 double crochet in the next chain 1 space, then chain 1. Then you repeat from the * with double crochet, then chain 1 all the way across. When you are finished you will join in your beginning chain 3.

  • Great video. Thanks!

    Cheers!

  • a questions about cricles. ive made hats with stripes, but the finished product looks horrible because the ends of the stripes dont come together!!! i already solved the problem where there are strands of color out of place, but now, the stripes dont line up! please help me!!!!!!!!!

  • There are two types of basic hats. One with the continual round. The other with rounds where you end it each round. It sounds as though the cap you did was with the continual round. You will need to do the basic round where you end it each round so your colors line up.

  • ummmm, is that where you do a slip stich at the end of each round? im not sure how to do this...

  • Yes, that is where you slip stitch in to your beginning stitch, then Ch to start your next row.

  • thank you very very much, my main question about crochet in general is now answered!!!!!!

  • You are so wonderful for making these videos! You have helped me to learn to crochet fairly well. I'm working on two projects right now and am very excited about it! Thank you so much, you are an angel!

  • You are welcome. :)
