I don't know why so many people seem to hate this, I think it was really nicely done. Compare it to "Great Hits of the 70s Moog Style" by an unknown artist and you'll see why Claude Denjean is so much more classy. I have this LP, which is lucky. I would imagine an EX+ to NM replacement copy would cost up to three figures.
@LeonardRockstein well some of us who appreciate carlos as well dont always need "serious" music- some of my favorite electronic stuff is the dick hyman- this- bruce haack- and especially mort garson- the john keating space experience! Carlos can be a bit pretentious a times and this lightens the mood- by the way i think clockwork orange was the best carlos did- much of her early stuff is tedious and i prefer classical to be played by a real orchestra but thats me! Still i own most of her stuff
I agree. It doesn't sound 'mixed' most of the sounds are at a similar level. No subtlety. Carlos proved that it was possible to be clever with a Moog but this offering is just plain vulgar. I also agree it's historically interesting. I used to have this album. Only one reason why I don't now, it's awful and typical of the many trashy moog offerings of the time
@alijanlondon trashy moog offerings are great- thats the point you seem to be missing- some of us love it along with more polished serious moog and electronic offerings- the version of nights in white satin is stellar and sells well on itunes still to this day
loved this album!!! i haven't heard it in years! if it wasn't for a certain ex-roommate who left the album in the backyard during a 110deg day, i would still be listening to it! =]

Whoa. Amazing.
First, I love the song. To hear it done in Moog is beyond great.
